Barbie Goes Conservative with Burkas

We all love Barbie, our legendary fashion and beauty icon ever since she was born in this world. We love to play with her, dress her up the way we like her to be... and most of all, we dreamed to be a "Barbie" even once or occasionally. Her fabulousness, wearing those colorful dresses and nice heels, makes all of us a huge fan.

But what if Barbie dresses-up wearing burkas? Would you still buy her and make her wear it. Or still undresses her long-black dress, and opt to shiny, fabulous one?

The installation 'Sheltered position' of German artist Sabine Reyer shows one hundred Barbie dolls dressed with burkas at the Ruhr-Biennale in Dortmund October 7, 2012. The second Ruhr Biennale will host the exhibition from October 7 until December 12.

I miss my Barbie dolls at home, which my little sisters are their new best-friend. Here's my classic photo shoot with my besties wearing my own creations. Yeah I love designing doll clothing, I realized that making Barbie Clothing is more tedious work than designing and sewing an actual clothing, hahaha.

photos are taken using my Sony Cybershot in my former apartment in Legazpi City. Now I'm wishing I can go back to designing again.. {{fingers-crossed}}
