UNIQLO's Other Upcoming DIP Collaborations for SS 2013


For the last seven years UNIQLO have helped to leverage and showcase up-and-coming design talent through the DESIGNER INVITATION PROJECT (DIP). UNIQLO DIP gives young designers a platform to showcase their creations, and allows for UNIQLO to learn from the next generation of the design world. With a focus on capsule collections across different styles, UNIQLO DIP invites designers to showcase their talent and appeal to a brand new customer. UNIQLO is proud to have worked with designers such as Charlotte Ronson, Opening Ceremony, Philip Lim, Alexander Wang, Gilded Age, and Tim Hamilton on previous DI collaborations. 




DOUBLE STANDARD CLOTHING:
Masahisa Takino, the designer behind DOUBLE STANDARD CLOTHING, believes there is never just one standard idea of style that fits the moment. Styling evolves every time we re-mix the opposite elements, such as modern and classic, cool and emotional, casual and feminine. The standard for DOUBLE STANDARD CLOTHING is to provide our original mixes.

G.V.G.V
After graduating from Kuwasawa Design School in Tokyo, head designer MUG launched her brand "G.V.G.V" in 1999.

MUG believes femininity and masculinity co-exist in the world, and wants to express this freely through sensitivities of the moment. MUG releases a new collection inspired by her personal vision and unique exploration each season, and this vision has inspired the UNIQLO DI collaboration.

GOOD MORNING BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
Hidenori Kumakiri (designer), Masayoshi Toda (pattern maker), Tamio Yone (planning and production) and Yusuke Wakabayashi (sales and planning) launched the BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE brand in 2007. Led by Kumakiri, the four-man collective made their debut at the Tokyo Collection in 2010. The brand is well known for its signature kids' series designed to complement their adult lines.

LEUR LOGETTE
Designed by Masako Imoto, Japanese apparel brand Leur Logette tries to create the kind of truly unique items that end up becoming treasured pieces in a woman's wardrobe. The brand, which was established in 2002, draws its name from a French phrase that loosely translates as "their little room," Its unwavering focus on details is clearly evident in its calculated silhouettes and choice of materials.

PLUMPY NUTS
After building their careers as designers at foundation addict from 2005 to 2008. Miyuki Omichi and Ayumi Kita started a new brand. Plumpy Nuts, and opened their own boutique, SHOW CASE by Plumpy Nuts, in Tokyo's Jingumae area in 2009. In 2011, Plumpy Nuts organized a fashion show at VERSUS TOKYO, an industry event produced by Yuichi Yoshii. The Plumpy Nuts brand specializes in high - quality, coquettish, and playful designs for women.

ILIANN LOEB
The Iliann Loeb brand was established in 2005 by Saori Komatsu to provide daily clothing for fashionable women who live life to the fullest, by exploring new ideas in knitwear. To "IL by Saori Komatsu" knitwear brand, meanwhile, was founded in 2008. It has participated in TRANOI, an international fashion industry event in Paris, and appeared in 2012 at the INDIGO SHOWROOM in New York.
