The Italian fashion and leather goods brand, Gucci, will be working alongside actress, Li Bing Bing, in a special advertising campaign dedicated to the House's handbags, eyewear, fine jewellery and timepieces. Conceived by Creative Director Frida Gianini, the portraits, shot in Los Angeles by Salve Sundsbo, evoke a strong yet minimal aesthetic, remaining true to Gucci's codes of luxury The third installment of the campaign features both classic accessories from Gucci's tradition, coupled with new styles destined to become timeless pieces.
In partnership with the Chinese actress, the highlight of this collection is the use of materials from sustainable, renewable sources such as bamboo and the tagua nut, or vegetable ivory - an alternative to animal-based ivory. The Bamboo special edition has been officially launched in China, where Gucci Timepieces & Jewellery is supporting a local reforestation project. Both of these environmental initiatives reflect the House's on-going commitment to sustainability and responsibility.
Furthermore, the campaign will feature three handbags: the Jackie, the style that was carried by America's former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy; the Soho chain style, characterized by the embossed interlocking GG; the Gucci Nice handbag, inspired by the relaxed attitude of France's southern coast, which sees the use of both micro Guccissima leather as well as the introduction of an eco-conscious textile.
Gucci clothing, handbags, shoes and jewellery are available exclusively at Gucci Boutiques.
