Homegrown fashion brand Petit Monde will celebrate their first show at Philippine Fashion Week with past and present Petit Monde girls walking down the runway.
Maja Salvador, the present face of Petit Monde, will showcase the brand’s latest collection with the other Petit Monde girls Sunshine Cruz, Ana Roces, and Chesca Garcia.
As the brand having its debut to the runway, showcased their latest four collections for this season, just like cherry blossoms branching out sweetly during spring season in Japan.
Mori collection. Mori, meaning ‘forest’, made a statement with its billowy pieces comprised of wrap dresses, light skirts and soft fabrics. Most notable though are the lively leaf prints set on dark fabrics which highlighted the prints even more.
Saku or ‘bloom’, the second collection was an ode to feminine dressing with airy pieces in light pinks and blues. I adore it much especially on how each piece is versatile enough to pair with the other statement pieces in the collection.
Urahara celebrated urban street style found in the fashionable streets of Urahara and Harajuku. All the pieces were rendered in tribal and geometric prints.
Sekai or ‘world’- the collection boasted of worldy prints of city skylines and natural blooms. Luxurious were the fabrics as they were cut in classic and oversized silhouettes. The collection exuded international appeal with the combination of seamless construction, proportion and quality prints.
It was a great experience for any woman to see the Petite Monde collection. Aside from the exciting and timeless endorsers such as Sunshine Cruz, Ana Roces, Chesca Garcia-Kramer and Maja Salvador, the collection was cohesive and was lovingly dedicated to the Petite Monde bellas.
The Petit Monde show took place on October 23, 2013, at the Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2014 SM Mall of Asia. For more information on Fashion Week 2013 and schedule of shows, go to
