Fashion Designer Monique Lhuiller give back to victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines

World-renowned fashion designer Monique Lhuiller reportedly spent her Christmas holidays visiting the children in the Philippines, affected by the recent Typhoon Haiyan. Together with her family, the designer gave small presents for the children which brings smiles and happiness.

Typhoon Haiyan destroyed nearly 90% of all schools in affected areas of the Philippines, leaving over a million students and 35,000 teachers without places to learn and teach. My family and I spent part of our holiday visiting these schools, assessing the damage, pledging to rebuild the campus’ and offering student’s scholarships to finish their school year, since many of their parents lost their source of income. The optimism, resilience and gratitude of the communities have been an incredible inspiration to me. This is an experience my family and I will never forget. - xx, Monique
