If you are looking out for an excuse to polish off a few scoops of ice cream then go ahead and do it guilt-free as July happens to be National Ice Cream Month in the US. Londoners too have a reason to indulge in the delicious frozen treats at Selfridges. The chain of high end department stores in the United Kingdom is celebrating Unilever owned ice-cream brand Magnum’s 25th birthday by hosting the Make My Magnum experience at The Concept Store.
Those with sweet tooth can turn into ice-cream flavor designers as the two brands have teamed up to offer an opportunity to create your very own personalized ice cream at the Make My Magnum Bar. At the bar, a ‘naked’ Magnum is dipped in decadent chocolate before you handpick a selection of tempting toppings such as rose petals, marshmallows and chilli flakes. Step in to design the ultimate Magnum by picking your favorite ice-cream flavor and dressing it up with chocolate coating and your favored choice of sinful toppings.
Also available for limited period, Magnum has launched a limited edition ice cream inspired by Crème Brulée, exclusive to Selfridges. Combining swirls of caramel sauce, caramelized sugar pieces and thick milk chocolate coating, this indulgent treat is available at all Selfridges stores until September 2014 only. The elusive and exclusive Creme Brûlée Magnum is so tasty it deserves its own window.
To lure all shoppers as well as ice-cream addicts, Selfridges has also dressed its windows with enlarged Magnum ice creams
Running for for just eight weeks, this collaboration also marks Magnum as the first ever food brand to take over the Selfridges Concept Store in the Wonder Room.
