Cristina Re High Tea Salon and Boutique opens in Chengdu, China

Australian lifestyle brand Cristina Re has opened its first stand alone High Tea Salon and Boutique in Chengdu, China.

The new store is located at the recently opened Taikoo Li retail complex in Chengdu an opulent new mall which sets a new standard in shopping and dining in the city

Taikoo Li offers a wide range of luxury brands in one luxurious complex while maintaining the quaint feel of a boutique lined side street. Luxury tenants in the centre promise to impress with flagship stores from Gucci, Cartier, Hermès, and Jimmy Choo, among others. No expense has been spared in the complex fit out of Taikoo Li which targets the city’s rising middle class.

Cristina Re says she chose Chengdu for the tea salon concept’s debut because it is one of China’s fastest growing markets for luxury goods.

“Residents of Chengdu have a strong desire for western labels and to immerse themselves in  Western culture.”

The new store features the latest in high end architecture and interior design, the result of an extensive collaboration between Cristina Re and the designers who sought to create a feeling of “ambience and splendor”.

The salon features white marble floors, bronze and copper fitouts, bespoke white leather furniture and an opulent outdoor courtyard invoking a sensation of indoor/outdoor living suited to the warmer climate.

Cristina’s trademark aesthetic of creating a luxurious and  indulgent high tea experience has been extended within the store to include a full à la carte menu prepared by a well known international chef from Hong Kong and featuring a fusion of Eastern and Western delicacies with organic produce sourced from around the world.

The brand says an extensive cocktail and Champagne offer will appeal to the highly social and stylish Chengdu crowd.

The Cristina Re store in Taikoo Li is the first in a “multifaceted retail strategy” the company is planning for China along with further expansion throughout Asia in the  coming two years.

In Australia, Cristina Re is known for her signature and luxurious fashionable patterns and  feminine style executed across a diverse product range from stationery to home decor in a multitude of boutiques around the world.

Expanding the Cristina Re Brand into China is a significant move for the label that began over 20 years ago and currently supplies more than 1000 wholesalers.
