I might be a Queen of Fine Living and Thrifty Business
Location: Bonifacio High Street
One thing that I've learned since I've moved here in the city is that you don't need to splurge for things just to be fit in this urban jungle. Splurging for experiences (well I do it moderately) is totally not bad at all, but splurging on some materials things (like in fashion) are quite not good. Yes, I do agree with you about the true emotional and psychological benefits of retail therapy, and nothing makes us happier than getting what we want - because we deserve it. But at the end of the day, are we really happy knowing that we have a full wardrobe, and an empty passbook?
Or maybe, my ways of living in this urban jungle are quite practical than others. Take a look at this OOTD, my photographer then said I look so "yayamain or rich" (laugh) but honestly I'm just a practical urbanite. I'd say I'm a happy urbanite with a fat checkbook, because its all about Thrifty Business.
Inner polka-dot top - got this for Php150.00 and it's been with me for 8 years!
Skinny jeans - from UNIQLO Philippines, well technically they gave me a generous gift checks and I used it to get this jeans
My blue urban blazer that I've got recently from my quarterly ukay-ukay shopping. Bought for Php220.00
My handbag was a freebie from OLAY when I've bought my sets of skincare last November 2014.
Sunnies that I've got from Landmark for only Php100.00
And, my gold ballet flats, a gift from Butterfly Twist Philippines.
See, I don't need to splurge and slap thousand of pesos just to look urbanite :)
