Missing Pan on Bukit Timah Road offers a similar menu of wholesome comfort food to be enjoyed in their second floor bistro dining space. With a quirky interior decor of ransacked drawers (the missing pan), this shop-house has also been a busy brunch spot of some time, with long queues of locals on weekends waiting for their fix of freshly baked bread and their popular Eggs Benedict. The dinner menu offers an eclectic selection of international choices, with dishes like Duck Confir, Wild Mushroom Risotto, Baked Lobster, Seared Sea Bass and Grain Fed Australian Striploin. Start with their sharing plates, especially the Chargrilled Squid and somewhat eccentric Beef French Toast with Skewered Chicken, Mushrooms and Baby Spinach Stew, which is presented under a bed of fresh fruit a smoked strawberry maple syrup. It sounds strange but works surprisingly well! For dessert, we loved the Lychee Lemongrass Creme Brulee and Chili Chocolate - an infused red chili chocolate cake with roasted hazelnut puffs, lemon curd and milk chocolate chantilly with smoked sea salt. To wash it all down, there is a choice of craft beers and ciders and a reasonably priced wine list.
