How to make you 60-square meter home safe and convenient place to sleep and play for your kids?
Our goal was to create an open living space for a young couple, allowing them to spend more time with their children. Consequently, the design team Hao Design placed an emphasis on designated recreational areas integrated within the overall design.
Upon entering the dwelling, the visitor is greeted with a 60 square meter ‘leisure and recreation area’ organized around a centrally positioned table. The focal point of the design is a slide, which can be readily disassembled and put away, increasing the amount of floor space available. This feature is complemented with a swing, forming an intimate play area for the home’s young inhabitants.
The kitchen is seen as a transitional area between the house’s public and private spaces. A lattice of carefully designed storage areas surrounds an island unit, containing various cooking equipment. A blackboard wall serves as a message board for the entire family and provides the children with a surface to sketch on.
