Wangfu at Serendra, Bonifacio Global City
One of the perks of living in the city is having an opportunity to dine on some interesting restaurants.
I don't know you, but spending your me-time once in a while in a nice cozy place, sipping your favorite cup of coffee or tea, and enjoying a good book - no phones allowed.
A perfect time to explore your minds to the other worlds you like, without the techie gadgets bothering you and wondering if someone checked on your social media accounts, or if your boss sent you follow-up emails.
I get it, life is indeed crazy busy and tough - but that makes life more interesting, don't you think?
(PS. Have you read the Shopaholic series???)
That's why having a me-time is important.
In my case, I take my me-time recently at the family-friendly restaurant in Serendra.
Wangfu is known for serving Chinese-Singaporean type of foods, which most of us Filipinos love.
Take a look of their menu with prices below:
They served rice-meals and you gotta try their dim sums, ohh my favorites are the Bird's Eye Dumplings and Kutchay Dumpling, pairing it with hot oohlong tea..
Ohh it's perfect!
During weekends, I hangout at this place around 11AM until 1PM - surprisingly it is not crowded during those hours. I could enjoy reading a book, and watching people passing-by.
The correct way of eating a rice meal - don't hesitate to lift your bowl of rice near your mouth. This will also prevent from falling your rice / food to your clothes and table. Iwas mess!
It might be boring for most, but for me I love it. It helps me to refresh my mind, and think clearly without those cloudy thoughts on my heads especially during the busy weekdays.
If you happen to visit Bonifacio Global City, I recommend you the Wangfu. You can sit back and dine with your family and friends, and even your pets!
They served good leafy foods, good for those who are vegetarians, and for those who likes to switch on healthy lifestyle.
xoxo, Blair
what a gorgeous space that is! and the food looks yummy too.. i like the idea of phone free zone!
ReplyDeleteHahaha yeah and enjoyed reading a lot (without the pressure of any distractions).
DeleteThis restaurant would be perfect for me. I love how the menus actually have photos for each item.
ReplyDeleteYeah because Chinese foods are sometimes hard to describe. Good thing about this is you just have to pinpoint where one you like, and that solves your problem :)
DeleteI love sitting back at a cute café with a good book or my laptop if there's free Wi-Fi. ;) This looks like a lovely place to sit down and unwind. I'm alllllll about the me-time. :)
ReplyDeleteChristie's Take on Life. xx
Yeah and having a good me-time helps us to recharge with more positive CHI and ideas :)
DeleteMmm, well now I'm hungry. I know I'd enjoy it here. And YES, I love the Shopaholic series. You should check out her other books too, they rock.
ReplyDeleteYes, but am waiting it to land in tradebooks, to avail it more cheaper, hahaha
DeleteThis place look like a good place to dine with friends. Great menu too1
ReplyDeleteI agree, and its easy to choose which dishes you like to eat. Very cozy :)
DeleteYou're so right! Me time is very important. Your food looks good!
ReplyDeleteThanks dear! Ahh I want to dine here again :)
DeleteI agree with what you say but no phones allowed? Oh no, how can? I need to update my photos real time. :P
ReplyDeleteHahaha it was just my personal option/rule! Of Course Wangfu allows everyone (well even dogs!) to access their phones. There is a free wifi access available within Serendra :)
DeleteI love the ambience. However I wish all the healthy food cost cheaper hahaha (a reason for not eating healthy)
ReplyDeleteyeah that's the reality - most of healthy foods are being sold for a higher price (I don't know why!) Glad that at Wangfu I could choose foods that I know are healthy... I choose more vegetables though
DeleteI wish I had time for me-time, but things are so hectic right now, I hardly get a break. This place seems like a nice getaway. When I do get a little break, the library and Starbucks do it for me.
ReplyDeleteLibrary is also one of the best place - especially if it is well-maintained and have interesting interior. Starbucks is not for me. Here in Manila Starbucks are being lurk by more noise and chatty customers.
Deletekinda nice place to eat. nyum nyum
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Thank you for visiting Uncle Zuan!
DeleteAll the food looks so amazing. I discovered being a solo traveler that I love to read when I dine alone. Its become one of my favorite things <3
ReplyDeleteHello Nicole,
DeleteYeah and even though am always on my phone due to my social media works, it is still nice to sit down and read good book and eat of course. More reason why I don't like to hangout with crowded places.
Haven't been there but it seems a great place to hang out. <3 Is it affordable for students?
ReplyDeleteHello Fristine,
DeleteThe food prices are in mid-range.. just like those dumplings that costs less than 200pesos.
This looks like a nice, quiet place where you could get some reading done. Excellent choice in both atmosphere and menu!

Thank you Beth! But I don't hangout here during lunch time or late afternoon because it gets too crowded and noisy.

ReplyDeleteHello Betty,
DeleteYeah we have lots. Many Chinese overseas restaurants are opening their branches here. But I would like to taste the homemade Chinese cuisine in Chinatown.
