Holy Grail - Ra&Gowoori Real Kill Horse Oil and Whitening Cream Review

Hello Girlfriends!

Another Korean skincare review and I know this skincare seems very new to most of you.

You all know that when I found something amazing that works on my skin type then I would be happy to share it with you.

This is what I love about Korean skincare – the industry doesn’t stop and tire of discovering new products for their growing market, and it’s very fascinating to learn more about them and including its ingredients.

Just like recently, I was reading my Facebook feed when I stumbled about the benefits of horse oil to our skin.

Such a beautiful horse, right? And yes, the horse oil comes from the horse – dead horses!

So what is horse oil that makes everyone so crazy about (including me!)?

During the early days in the East particularly in China, many people are said to be using horse oil to treat a huge number of diseases, including as a cure for burns, rashes, and insect bites. The fat is purified and deodorized to remove that awful smell. Nowadays, horse oil is now being used in therapy, cosmetology, and even surgery. This substance is very rich in essential amino acids like keratin which helps us to have that glowing healthy nails and hair, making our hair shinier and full of vitality.

And yes horse oil comes from dead horses.

But the horse farmers don’t raise horses just for these horse's oil. When horses are butchered for their meat, farmers are making extra cash by selling their horse oil. During the early days, horse oil are being used for soap making (well even nowadays) and eventually many beauty and cosmetic companies are buying these oils and add as main ingredients to make our favorite creams.

Horse oil has become more popular because it’s sterilized and known to be very absorbent to the skin.

It might be sound really bizarre, but knowing that most early Asians are very adventurous with many ingredients, animal fats including horse oil are now being used in a variety of skincare products.

Because of this curiosity I’ve asked my Korean skincare supplier if they have available products with horse oil. Then I stumbled with these Ra&Gowoori Real Kill 9.9 Horse oil and Whitening Cream.

These Ra&Gowoori Real Kill creams are the latest craze in the online Korean skincare community.

Without blinking, I messaged my supplier and ordered one of each, for my trial and review and paid for my bill including the shipping cost.

Holy Grail - Ra&Gowoori Real Kill Horse Oil and Whitening Cream Review

After the New Year’s holiday, I’ve got an issue with some acne on my cheeks and it was annoying because it always leaves dark spots on my face. Before applying these creams first I diligently remove my day make-up (especially if I wear any) then wash it through using my double cleansing technique using my current favorite cleansing oil and cleansing foam facial wash.

I made sure that I’ve toned my face and applied my essence and serum, before enjoying this horse oil cream.

RA&Gowoori Real Kill 9.9 Horse Oil cream review

This RA&Gowoori Real Kill 9.9 Horse Oil cream is coming popular online because of its very absorbent properties and also helps to easily heal some small scars and bumps. Some even used it for their underarms and claims to disappear their chicken skin due to frequent plucking.

I’ll let the horse oil cream absorb for few minutes, then I apply the RA&Gowoori Real Kill 9.9 Whitening Cream.

Ra&Gowoori Real Kill Whitening Cream Review

You might be wondering why am using a whitening agent, whereas you already know that many whitening products are not effective on me. This is whitening cream has proven to be a good whitening agent for more, and am glad that it works on them. I’ve been using this cream along with the horse cream to remove those dark spots brought by my previous acne. And guess what? It is effective!

Ra&Gowoori Real Kill 9.9 Whitening Cream might not help me lighten my face, but really helps to lighten those dark spots – and making them disappear!

    1. You are welcome Saidah!

I like this brand because it is very gentle to my skin style, and also most Korean brands have less harsh ingredients. Though the whitening cream doesn't make me so white, but it helps to fade-away my blemishes and for me that good enough :)

That's the best investment that we have and we always carry it. So for my I don't spend much on clothing, shoes or make-up (most of the time I can get those for free). So skincare are the best.

      You should try it :)

  5. Horse oil? I've never heard of such a thing. I'm not sure if I could ever use it--my mom is a horse lover. It might be from dead horses but then my mom would get sad because they are being butchered and such. But your skin looks amazing!

    1. Hello Dear,

Here in Asia and in some parts of Europe, horses are being harvested as meat, just like sheeps, goats, cows, etc. But because horses are quite the most pricey one, the horse fats (which are very minimal, because of its well fitted figure) are also harvested and being sold to cosmetic companies.

  8. This review is great. First time of reading about horse oil. I had always thought olive oil was the best. I also have had knowledge of tomato plant working great for acne as I am a plant biology graduate. Thanks for this informative review article!

This could really work for my post-period acnes if only I can get it down to my country.

    1. yes, animal fats have the similar components on humans so it is used in cosmetics and skincare.

With so many skincare products all over the world, it is very necessary to discuss and explain how does these products was born, and not only its uses and effects. Consumers must understand its origin first and I think its vital.

    1. Hello April,

I include it to my usual before bedtime skincare routine after cleansing. Just follow the basic rules of applying the lighter solution of skincare, and last it the thickest.

Most of the time I let the horse oil stay overnight to my face :)
