The Best Costumes You Can Buy for Christmas Presents

As the holiday season is upon us all, it is time to think about giving your best friends and family members a truly unique Christmas gift. For your super-friends you should consider putting some super-heroine flair into your presents this year. A super-heroine style wardrobe could end up being a great choice as strong female characters are in vogue right now and these costumes can be worn to parties throughout the year.

In this post, we look at five super-heroine costumes that are inspired from recent superhero films and would make this Christmas's present giving "super" memorable!

Catwoman

The Best Costumes You Can Buy for Christmas Presents

A black leather jumpsuit makes up the majority of Catwoman’s costume. However, getting the measurement exactly right is very important. Take your cues from someone who has brought the fictional feline femme fatale to life in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. In a 2012 interview, MTV reported actress Anne Hathaway, a true professional on the film, disregarded any and every form of discomfort the bodysuit imposed and focused on the portrayal above anything else. This dedication to her role can be replicated in your present buying. If the fit of the costume isn’t exactly right, you can apply your sewing skills and turn it into Michelle Pfeiffer’s version of Catwoman in 1992’s Batman Returns. What better way to spread the holidays than giving a friend the chance to dress like the classic bad girl of the comics.

Wonder Woman

The Best Costumes You Can Buy for Christmas Presents

2017 is really only about one superhero and her name is Wonder Woman. Collider revealed that Wonder Woman was the top-grossing superhero movie of the year, and Gal Gadot’s portrayal is already being called the best part of the upcoming male-dominated Justice League film. Wonder Woman has always been a female icon and the character’s stature has only grown this year with many entertainment outlets celebrating the character. Digital entertainment platform Slingo has an array of superhero games, including a Wonder Woman game that features the original Linda Carter version of the character. The fact that the game focuses on a past version of Wonder Woman shows how fans from all backgrounds want to interact and honor the character.

A Wonder Women costume would the perfect gift for a strong friend in your life who has inspired and taken care of you. There are many variations of the costume available with the Linda Carter version being the most iconic and famous. If you can’t find a complete costume then a Wonder Women kitchen apron is a fun way to show your appreciation and sense of humor to friends and family

Harley Quinn

The Best Costumes You Can Buy for Christmas Presents

Harley Quinn is a very edgy character and that’s why it’s no surprise that its popularity has skyrocketed in recent years. If you have a friend who has a wild side (although hopefully not a master criminal side) then a Harley Quinn costume would be perfect. For Quinn, it’s the bat, the boots, and the jester look. These are the key pieces that can either come as stand-alone gifts or as a set (although you may have to buy the baseball bat separately).

Poison Ivy

Red-orange hair and shades of lime green dictate what makes any costume Poison-Ivy-worthy. However, you can always start with the most obvious. You can give your Poison Ivy friend premium hair coloring products and implements that replicate the character’s bright locks. This way, you bring her a step closer to realizing this unique supervillain.

Who says Christmas is just wearing Santa's elves' costumes and white fairies?

Christmas is the time for dressing up what you want, and have some fun!

  39. This is creative! I like the meanings behind it but I don't think a costume would be a good idea. I would much rather get the character paraphernalia where they could keep it in their room or on their work desk. Something they could see all year round to remind them of our friendship.
