How to Turn Your Used CBTL Cups into a Tea Goodie Box

Hello Beautiful!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend because I do! There’s a lot of excitement going on and I was so happy that I accomplished some of my tasks last weekend, which made me quite productive.

Remember when last month I have shared my Starbucks goodie bag tutorial I am so happy that it gave awesome responses from our readers worldwide, and even from Starbucks itself!

It was so good to share new DIY ideas that I believe are feasible and everyone can do it. I mean, I think we should incorporate recycling into our lifestyle because indeed it is good – it gives positive ZEN and also gives more CHI.

Last week, somebody put a CBTL brewed coffee on my desk (which means, someone, is signaling he/she needs a favor), and yeah that someone knows me well. I would be a bit cringed if that person gave me a Frappuccino, LOL.

So after I finished my free CBTL brewed coffee last Monday, I couldn’t help but think that it would be a shame to just throw these cups (let’s say a good gesture). And then I thought. Why not make another DIY tutorial, since I’ve also made one using Starbucks cups.

DISCLAIMER: This is not a sponsored post. Just my way of sharing my awesome knowledge in DIY crafting and you can’t stop moi. LOL

And hopefully, coffee drinkers would think twice about throwing their cups or just leaving them elsewhere like crumpled papers. Ah, such a headache it gives me whenever I saw coffee cups laying around abandoned on street sidewalks, parks, parking lots, etc.

It’s disgusting…

So today am going to teach you how to recycle your CBTL coffee cups into cute tea goodie boxes.
Kind of a similar procedure to my Starbucks good bag tutorial, but more kawaii.

So after thoroughly cleaning your used CBTL coffee cups (use liquid soap), wipe them until it dries. Get ready with your pair of scissors, glue gun with glue sticks, pencil for marking, some accessories for décor, and of course your tea bags which will be the content of our tea goodie box.

Start unrolling the top part of the cups because we don’t need them.

Because we will get rid of it. Cut it out, like you get rid of the bad bitches from your life, LOL

Okay, that’s better!

Now mark lines to your cup and cut it. These will be our cover for the goodie box.

After cutting the lines, unfold it outward just like in the photo above.

Looks like a flower now, LOL. You can make the cut in any shape, but I prefer to make an octagonal shape because the number 8 will give you more LUCK :D

It’s time to put all the goodies inside the CBTL coffee box! I prefer to put some tea bags inside because I think it is quite related to the cups, LOL. But you can put anything – candies, mini makeup/cosmetics, cookies perhaps, or anything that is small enough to fit inside but make sure they are dry. No liquid stuff. It will be messy.

After making sure everything is placed carefully inside, it’s time to seal the box! Use a glue gun to seal the box because these coffee cups are quite thick and a simple glue might be not enough to hold the lid.

It should be like this after you sealed it. Looks cute right? But we are not yet finished.

We don’t want to finish it just like this, so we will add some cuteness to this coffee goodie box.

I got some little trinkets at home, like this fabric flower that I’ve made last summer, and some extra faux leaves from my previous tutorials. I’ve glued it together with this flower accessory on top of the box.

You may also add a little card with your notes to make it more personal

And voila! Is this a kind of tea goodie box you want to receive? You can make this on any theme for any occasion, all you have to do is just jazz it up with some little trinkets.

Such so easy to make right? I know you can do much better!

So start NOT THROWING YOUR CUPS and save it up!
