Pika! Pika!

How are you guys doing recently?

Just, as usual, I’ve been busy at home blogging and editing my previous travel videos, and crafting for new accessories (since I can’t visit my favorite shops nowadays), and of course, bingeing for whatever Netflix could offer.

I know that Pokemon movie on Netflix is so yesterday however, I find it entertaining. Also, it reminds me of our trip to Japan last year, and the first specialty store we have visited.

This yellow little monster Pikachu is totally adorable. I mean who wouldn’t fall with its cute face, with thunderbolt as his superpower, and talks Pika! Pika! like it is the most adorable language in the world. Now that the pandemic had dominated our most of our life – no travel specifically, which means I will be missing (again!) this year’s annual Pikachu Outbreak in Yokohama I’ve been meaning to travel back to Japan this July and the festival was already in my itinerary, but I guess that needs to wait not until next year to make it happen.

So here I am reminiscing our days in Japan, and that time I became a little girl feeling awe seeing this awesome specialty store.

This Pokemon store located is in Lalaport Tokyo Bay, the nearest mall to our rental apartment. It was a very engaging shop, with lots of Pokemon merchandise that you can imagine, plus an interactive arcade.

However, I got to admit that they are freaking expensive! I know right??!

Yes, even this face mask sheet with the packaging is so adorable, that I have to control not spending crazy because I am meaning to only spend on experiential travel.

Anyway, I never regret not having them. I have these photos as a souvenir instead!
(yup, I am so stingy! LOL).

So here I am in the comfort of my home, continuously dreaming of exploring Japan’s wonder and for the indefinite time, this will be the new norm. And since I will not be seeing the Pikachu or even Eevie’s Outbreak this year, I took the liberty to search for the latest Pokemon collaborations and updates, just to console myself of their cuteness.

There’s no even a point in playing Pokemon Go coz I will be hibernating for the next 6-months (or more).

Pokemon x GU Collaboration

Remember when I share from my previous post about my love for sleepwear?
Whatever you’ve got planned today, even if it’s nothing at all, Uniqlo’s sister brand GU and a whole bunch of Pokémon are here to help us get dressed and not be sloppy.

Pokemon x Peach John Collaboration

Now that we’re staying indoors more than usual, swapping lunch dates at the Pokémon cafe for virtual chats with Pokémon backgrounds and lamenting the fact that the Pokémon anime is officially on hiatus, we’ve been missing our pocket monster friends more than usual too.

Thankfully, Japanese lingerie brand Peach John has just the cure for our Pokémon blues, with a new underwear and loungewear collection that lets us cuddle up to our favourite characters as we socially distance ourselves indoors.

As the mascot of both the Pokémon anime and video game franchises, Pikachu has spent the last few decades providing entertainment to fans around the globe. That doesn’t mean that the famous Pocket Monster is all-play and no-work, and now he’s here to help out all of us who are working from home during the coronavirus pandemic.

While there’s a lot to like about telecommuting, the downside is that every video conference is a potential showcase of your unvacuumed living room, underground casino, or any other part of your home you’d rather keep private from your boss, coworkers, or clients. The solution to this problem is a video chat background image, and the latest company to offer a few are Original Stitch, makers of the Pokémon Shirts dress shirt line.

Oh, wait, did we say “a few?” We meant “251,” since Original Stitch is offering free downloads of background for not only all of the Generation 1 Pokémon species. All 251 patterns are available for download here on the official Pokémon Shirts website.

  11. I have tons of friends who are still obsessed with Pokemon. When they heard that I was going back to Tokyo, they asked me to stop at any Pokemon centers to buy Pokemon cards. I went to the biggest one (located in Nihonbashi). And I agree, the stuff there were freakin' expensive!

ps: I would love to have the Snorlax pyjamas!
