Meaning, NO new COVID case, and NO death!
And as of today, only one active case remains and now under-recovery.
Together with many Victorians, we are incredibly grateful for many communities and individuals' support to combat this virus, and we cannot thank enough our hardworking front-liners.
We’re happy to confirm that there were 0 new cases, 0 lost lives and 0 active cases reported yesterday. 9,960 test results were received – thank you, #EveryTestHelps. More detail: https://t.co/pcll7ySEgz#StaySafeStayOpen#COVID19Vicpic.twitter.com/axPlsu830H

Although there are few who find Victoria’s strategy a “draconian policy”, sometimes we all need to experience tough policies to prevent possible outbreaks that will cost us more (financially, including physical, emotional, and psychological costs).
As of today, we can now accept house guests for up to 15 people per day (perfect for a family, or friends’ catch-up!).
Wearing of face mask outdoor is only mandatory in places that social distancing is quite impossible, such as when inside a shopping mall, grocery shops, including open weekend markets, galleries, hospitals, public transport, etc.
However, IMHO, it is best to always bring a face mask with you, especially when you are outdoor, and keep it a good habit.
If you are living in Victoria State, you can check the DHHS website for further updates.
For now, I am so excited and to commemorate this little celebration, I would like to share with you one of the previous DIY dresses that I made last year, using a cotton fabric with a load of banana prints!
I’m thinking of making another dress similar to this one using some fun prints for the summer? Maybe other types of fruits, or bold prints of flowers? Any suggestions?
We are keeping the mandate safety rules and regulations and keeping our Victorian community safe including those in the city. If Victorians can do it, the rest of the Australian states can do it too.
Let’s make this possible so that we can all enjoy the COVIDSafe Summer!
That is so exciting to hear the Australia has had 25 days of no covid cases or deaths! I am seeing a light at the end of made up tunnel! Can't wait for things to go back to normal.
ReplyDeleteWith the help of each individual in the community, things become possible to Victoria.

ReplyDeleteIn reality in Italy we are not as tanned as they say, because they do not know how to count they put everything in the cauldron, but I admire you who are out of it. Covid Free for everyone!
I love my natural tan (or brownish) complexion :)
DeleteWow!! Congrats to all you amazing people in Victoria, I hope we can get to this level very soon without the need to take vaccines. Lovely dress! I haven't sewn a dress in so many years.
ReplyDeleteThanks dear! We still very cautious and until the vaccine is available, then that's when we can be feel comfortable.
DeleteI WISH everyone would follow the safety recommendations and mandates. The States would be far better off by now.
ReplyDeleteA vaccine is coming, so I'm hopeful we'll have a COVID-free summer. It's just about the only way it's going to happen here in the USA, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Australian government ordered vaccine enough for all its citizens. We are grateful that our leaders are making this a priority.

DeleteIt's amazing what you guys have been able to do to prevent the spread I wish that we can say the same here. It looks absolutely gorgeous there and I wish that travel would be back in operation soon!
ReplyDeleteI agree, and I wish that the rest of the world will be back to normal. There are talks about opening the borders to other selected countries, but no concrete information yet.
DeleteI am so glad to see that your are being safe and responsible this summer during COVID. Thank you! Your dress is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you! Our community is very supportive in our local government's policies :)
DeleteThis is so amazing to hear! I love that there is finally a light emerging at the end of the tunnel from this pandemic.
ReplyDeleteWe are all excited and hope VIC will be a model to the rest of the world.
DeleteThat's a very cute outfit and looks very summery. I would suggest a dress with strawberries.
ReplyDeleteThanks dear! I will look for strawberry prints then :)
DeleteI've been curious about how things were going outside of the US. I'd like to see this place sometime.
ReplyDeleteWhen Australia accepts international travelers again, including Americans then you must visit! Don't miss how lovely to live here in Australia.
DeleteGirl, I am also in VIC! Where is this place? looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks! Well, this photo was taken back in Bohol Philippines.
DeleteI am so glad the virus is being controlled in yoru area and your dress is lovely I wish I coudl make my own clothes.

ReplyDeleteThese photos was taken back in Bohol last year. I missed the beach!
DeleteYou all are getting it under control. Your country is doing it the right way!
ReplyDeleteThat's true! I wish my homeland the Philippines will do something to control the virus.
DeleteFingers crossed other Victorians join you, on this crusade, Blair! We all need to be COVID19-free!
ReplyDeleteThanks and hope everyone will do!
DeleteThat is fantastic news for Australia. I do hope that slowly, slowly the rest of the world will follow and we will be able to live normally again.
ReplyDeleteVIC is really doing something right! Congrats! That must feel great. Enjoy your summer!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, we will!
DeleteI heard a lot of good things how Australia handled the pandemic. How I wish US will be free of COVID too. I want to go back to my normal life soon!
ReplyDeleteHang it there tight. Now that you got a new leader, hope they will create a better strategy.
DeleteIt must be so exciting to be free to go out and meet with people again. Creative design. The colour suits you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Viano!
DeleteWow! COngratulations. Such a good news. Hoping na magtuloy-tuloy na and sana ganun na rin sa lahat ng bansa lalo na dito sa Pilipinas :(
ReplyDeleteYes it is! Our economy is slowly getting back to normal as well.
DeleteOh definitely a yes on tough policies in cases like this. And I'm happy for our clients from Victoria because they have started resuming business when the state reopened. Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, and you will noticed how happy they are here. Revenge shopping is now the trend here, lol.
DeleteI stay away coz I don't like spending a lot.
This is good news!!!!! I’m kinda jealous of Australia now and all of the other countries who have moved on from covid. In the ph, it’s like we’re living with it now which is just sad. Huhu
ReplyDeleteI agree. There are even talks here that the Philippine travelers might not be welcome here for the next couple of years until, unless PH travelers can provide the COVID vaccine passport.
DeleteCongrats! How I wish that people also practice social distancing here in the PH, kaso habang tumatagal parang feeling nila wala nang covid. Even if our numbers over here may have come down to 1k a day, marami pa rin yun huhuhu... sayang, gustong gusto ko na mabisita pamangkin ko diyan sa AUS kaso mukang matagal pa huhuhuhu
ReplyDeleteIt is sad indeed. Kaya naman sana kaso matigas ang ulo. I guess siguro kasi sanay makipag-sapalaran tayong mga Pilipino kaya ganun. But when you are in the different country, you have to obey.
DeleteWow congrats sa good news! Sana soon sa Pinas at ibang part ng mundo may mga news din kami matanggang na ganyan! Hoping na bumalik na ang normal sa lahat. BTW, nice dress!
ReplyDeleteThank you Clang!
DeleteWow, that’s good news indeed! Hoping for the same good news here in the PH.
ReplyDeleteYes, we continuously hope that this pandemic will soon be over!
Deletecongratulations! malapit na kayo mag graduate. how many days ba masasabi na the pandemic is really over sa area niyo? sana matapos na din ito dito sa pilipinas.
ReplyDeleteAs of today, we are now in almost 30days na! We are excited to welcome summer with no covid.
DeleteThat’s great news! Hearing places being declared as covid-free gives me hope that one day here in the Philippines that will be case too! 😀 Dapat talaga tulong tulong lang and follow safety protocols! And you look so cute with that dress! I always look forward to your fun and pretty ootds!
ReplyDeleteYes, tulong-tulong talaga.. the spirit of bayanihan (western-style) is true here!
DeleteI read in the newspaper that Australia had one of the strictest lockdown so it paid off in most areas. So no second wave so far? Awesome.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth O
We had second wave month before, and now we expect no third wave.
DeleteLove it, all of the places are opening up slpwely given the right protocols and the right mindset. Excited to see the next dresses you will make to celebrate these small victories!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you! Since I'm mostly indoors, I got many time to make my own dresses. I find it truly enjoyable.
DeleteFirst of all, I love the dress! I am looking for the same design with a different pattern. Hehe. I am happy that it's getting better in your area now. Medyo nakakatakot pa rinsa PH, parang wala nalang. Hoping to hear constant good news soon.
ReplyDeleteI agree that visiting the Philippines is quite scary nowadays. We had to put our travels on hold and maybe we can visit after a year or two, or when the vaccine comes available. We can't risk ourselves to get ill.
DeleteThis is a great news! I just hope people in the Philippines will also follow the safety recommendations and mandates.
ReplyDeleteYou should make another dress similar to the one you are wearing :)
Yes I will! I'll look for fun prints :)
DeleteI am in love with the vibrant energy of your outfit. Also, I wish we could experience "summer" soon!!
ReplyDeleteThanks dear! And stay safe always.
DeleteAw I'm so glad that you and your location seem to be doing well against the Covid-19 battle. Stay safe and well hun x
ReplyDeleteour community together with our amazing frontliners - we owe them this achievement.
DeleteYou are so lucky! Where I live we are seeing a second spike in cases and restaurants are shut down again. More safety measures may be put in place soon.
ReplyDeleteStay safe always!
DeleteGood for you guys! I wish I can say the same thing with our city but we are far from being there yet. Hopefully it gets better in the coming weeks though.
ReplyDeleteYes hopefully!
DeleteSadly we're not like that here and our COVID is actually rising. It's hard to think it will all be under control someday, and travel will be back to normality (even if only slightly).
ReplyDeleteI understand. All we can do is just adopt and survive.
DeleteThats good news. Numbers reducing somewhat in India, lets see. Vaccines are being injected in full swing.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! Our will start this coming March, but I'm included to least priority batch, hahaha.
