The latest piece of tech from Google is a massive game changer — here's why
Behold the magic word — Wifi. The gateway to the almighty World Wide Web. It's our digital lifeline to escape the expenses of our exorbitant data plans. Now add Google into the equation — the global tech giant has recently unveiled Google Wifi onto our shores and we couldn't be more thrilled; especially since we're the first country in Southeast Asia to try out the revolutionary system. Onwards indeed, Singapore.
First impression? As opposed to the typical Wifi router that mirrors a dull, bulky build, you won't find confusing beaming lights or multiple wires on this device. Google's version takes on a clean, stylish circular body fitted with a single wire. In our opinion it's chic enough for Instagram flatlays as well as a spiffy addition to your bedside table.
And for most beauty bloggers, you might find it have similarity to your newest night cream, lol.
Gone are the days when you have to wait for a network technician to set it up for you — with the Google Wifi app (available on iOS and Android), you can do it effortlessly with simple step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process. With the app, you can also freely monitor the number of devices that are connected to the network and also administrate the amount of bandwidth that each device is using. For instance, if you're in a hurry to download a 12MB video file, simply select "Priority Device" and the entire task will be completed in no time. Parents can also press the pause button to their children's connectivity and online social lives — ensuring quality family time without buzzing distractions.
Finally, since it's Google we're talking about, you can expect software updates (including bug fixes, additional features, security patches) to automatically take place every six weeks. All this to make sure your Wifi system keeps up to speed in today's ever-changing world of technology.
Cool! I love this! From Google especially. I'm using their Chromecast really convenient
