When I saw the latest collaboration of Uniqlo with UK designer Hana Tajima for the2017 Spring Summer Collection, I knew that this collection deserves more emphasis, and of course, deserves to be featured here in my blog.
This collection which was first released in February 2017, is a collection of fashion’s inclusivity and diversity. It's cut and silhouettes give every women style and comfort, without compromising their individuality, despite its modest approach.
Hana Tajima for Uniqlo gives every woman modest fashion made of lightweight fabrics and cutting details that enhance the natural movement of the body. There are soft, draped elements in dresses, tunics, and full-length pants alongside more sculptural shapes and silhouettes. These changes are all aimed at giving the wearer complete comfort and understated elegance.
This collection, featuring hijabs, abayas, and pieces inspired by baju kurung, a tunic-and-pants outfit popular in Southeast Asia, a modest-wear collection that combines the UK-born fashion designer’s English upbringing and Japanese roots.
Gone with the days were Muslimah fashion is only exclusive to our Muslim sisters. Hana Tajima Collection proves that every urban woman can wear modest fashion on any occasion and styled it with her own choice.
With the beautiful Feminine details and cut, what’s not to love with Hana Tajima Collection?
Hana Tajima is a fashion designer born in the United Kingdom, raised by a Japanese father and British mother. When she was a teenager, she converted to Islam. Since then, she has been devoted to letting people know fashion styles harmonized with Islamic culture, functionality, and refined designs. International attention has been paid to what she is doing.
This collection is composed of 30 items in 81 colors and patterns, all in neutrals tones gives every wearer the freedom to easily mixed-and-match with other pieces, and add some statement accessories to give a modern stylish look.
