One of the perks of living in the Philippines is having to enjoy many long weekends, and believe me, we love it a lot! Although I know many non-Filipino employers don’t like it (well suck it!).
Last weekend, I decided to stay at my apartment and have my humble R&R, actually not entirely coz I felt the motivation to write articles and reviews. So I found my archived photos of my stays in Grant Hyatt Singapore back in 2013 and I realized I haven’t shared my review about my stay.
Grand Hyatt Singapore is one of the luxurious hotels that I’ve visited in Singapore. I still remember how courteous and kind their staff in the reception and how their assigned doorman greeted us with delight. We went to Singapore for a business trip with my Amore, decided to have Grand Hyatt along Scotts Road be our home for a weekend. (BOOK NOW HERE).
We arrived around 6PM at the hotel, and it was an amazing ride in a Singapore cab. It was my first time to experience an efficient cab service. The hotel has a check-in time of 3:00PM so it is okay if you arrived in the afternoon.
We’ve got this spacious deluxe room with a living room and working area, which is perfect for him since he will be working for the weekend (I was just being a lazy girlfriend then and didn’t bring my laptop, coz my plan was to roam around the city, hahaha). Anyway, I didn’t felt bored because we are located in a busy district, and Singapore is another city that is easy to move around.
Our comfortable and huge bed! I love our sheets and their duvets are quite thicker than the others.
Aside from our bed, this is the favorite space of my Amore – his working area. Clearly, he is a workaholic person and I appreciate his hardworking attitude.
Here’s our mini bar and our fully stocked fridge, which I didn’t mind consuming coz I don’t find it interesting. Even those alcohol above, coz we are both wine person.
This room is quite lovely especially if you want you to prefer to conduct a meeting here because of the good space. That screen is also wifi –enabled so you can connect your laptop and turn it into your computer monitor, cool huh?!
OMG, the wifi-connection is freaking FAST!
My Bathroom
And here’s my favorite space! Grand Hyatt’s bathroom is so impressive! I like that green marble they installed and my tub is so spacious and comfortable.
It was fully stocked with white towels, toiletries, with hairdryer, and weighing scale, etc. The toiletries are from June Jacobs Spa Collection, in the Green Tea and Cucumber variant. That is truly fresh!
The shower room and toilet seat are installed separately.
I’ve enjoyed this space before bedtime, so no need to visit the spa in the hotel (it saves me a lot of $$$!) They also provided me some bath salt, and soap bombs so I had an amazing moment in this bathroom while listening to my favorite music!
Since we are in Singapore that is known for many restaurants with awesome foods, we decided to skip the hotel’s restaurant and explore the city during our lunch and dinners. It would be a shame to just stay in the hotel the whole weekend - ahh those laksa, and skewers, OMG street foods in Singapore are superb!
I’ve also explored the place along Orchard Road, and its nearest parks which is amazing!
The Pool Area
So after our lunches, I always hang out to this pool area to get back my tan complexion and have my siesta. It is gorgeous and comes it the nearest bar!
During the nighttime, the pool area has these beautiful lights and it is a perfect place for cocktail pool parties!
You will not help to notice these beautiful falls when you are on your way to the pool area. It looks amazing and feels like you are in a jungle! Though this is man-made, I am still impressed with their artificial haven.
Verdict:
Overall my stay is such a relaxing weekend, and a busy weekend for my Amore. We enjoyed our time here at Grand Hyatt Singapore, and hope we can come back soon (although when I asked him about this, he prefers to explore the other hotels). Well, he got a lovely point. But maybe we will pay a visit very soon!
If you are new to Singapore and your travel lifestyle is more of an upscale and not a backpacking type, then Grand Hyatt is also good for you. It is just along Scotts Road, and you can easily explore the busy fashion district - the Orchard Road. I love it!
Grand Hyatt Singapore
corner Scotts Road and Orchard Road, Singapore
I haven't the other Grand Hyatt hotels here in Manila - one in Aseana City, and Bonifacio Global City which I just visited a few weeks ago. You can check my review of Grand Hyatt Manila here.
Have you stayed at Grand Hyatt Singapore?
