To celebrate ZARA's 25th year since it first landed in Japan, ZARA collaborated with the local Japanese brand for the first time with MAISON SPECIAL.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the landing, the company launched a collaborative project to find a brand that shares Zara's common aesthetics and philosophy of "creating something new in fashion, diversity, and sustainability." Among them, it is said that a staff member has been using Maison Special since the brand's launch, which was the reason for the focus.
Zara describes the Maison Special as "a brand that creates something new from its own culture and traditions, and shares our aesthetics and philosophy." He was chosen as a partner because he could embody the vision of bringing trendy fashion to a global audience.
This is also the first time Maison Special has collaborated with an overseas brand. The Maison Special team was able to "not only expand brand awareness but also lead to confidence in the branding of Maison Special."
The concept of the collaboration collection is "NEW MIX FASHION", the lineup is based on the two extremes of tailoring and sportiness, as a source of inspiration, and includes denim wear, knitwear, pants, bags, shoes, and other items that can be totally coordinated. The strengths of the Maison Special, such as voluminous silhouettes, textures, and vivid colors, have been dropped.
