Lalaloopsy Core

I hadn’t heard about the toy brand Lalaloopsy until recently, when I started googling it and didn’t realize it was very popular back in America. Many avid fans started collecting their dolls, including their merchandise, and somehow I have one of those.

Years back, when I was sorting our bedding closet, I found this old single-sized Lalaloopsy duvet cover, and I thought it was very whimsical just to be in the closet, almost forgotten.

So I kept them as part of my textile stash, and one winter day I decided to upcycle them together with the old mattress protector. I reckon the cotton textile is good enough to create a fun outfit for myself.

And I am glad with the result!

I debuted this outfit during our trip to Auckland last year for the Guo Pei Exhibition and surprisingly, it gave me enough warmth and cuteness during the cold winter day. Then also packed the same outfit during our recent Perth trip with my hubby.

Turning it into a two-piece ensemble is a smart decision I made, coz it can easily be matched with my other outfits. In this way, I can create several looks without needing to break my bank.
