Renowned LA-based artist Mike Stilkey creates whimsical painted sculptures out of stacked books. Using a mix of ink, colored pencil, paint, and lacquer, he depicts a melancholic cast of characters inhabited by ambiguous spaces and narratives of fantasy and fairy tales. It was in June 2013 when he had this amazing exhibit at Fully Booked in Bonifacio Global City, and I am really impressed with his works. Using these old books as a medium of art is very interesting full of stories to tell.
