FNBEAUTYCON: A Whole Day of Fun and Beauty with Female Network

Female Network Beauty Con 2015

Hello ladies!

I'm still having this excitement about the previous event I've attended last November 2015.

Yeah, I know I know... this is a late post, but I couldn't help to share to you how beautiful and AWESOME that event was!

Hosted by one and only - FEMALE NETWORK!

Female Network, the pioneer women’s website in the Philippines, recently held its first-ever Female Network Beauty Con, a full-day beauty conference at Robinsons Magnolia Atrium.

The full-day event was packed with awesome beauty treats for all attendees for FREE! Loads of nail pampering, leg and arm waxing, free eyelash extension (yeah I know you like it), brow threading for free, FREE mini-makeover session using one of the best makeup cosmetics, free gold tattoos, and others.

Ah even I myself was overwhelmed with these FREEBIES!!!!

And ended up just trying a few selected ones.. anyway I had a great and beautiful, girly day.

At the event, seasoned speakers provided expert advice on a wide range of beauty topics— Skin Care, Hair Care, Beauty Blogging, How to Present your Best Self, Stand-out Eyes & Beautiful Brows, Contouring/Strobing/Baking, Achieving the 5-minute face, Looking Fresh All-day Long, Career Makeup, and Evening Make-up. The speakers were Dr. Karen Gavino Dionisio of Aesthetic Institute of the Philippines, Christian Toledo and Jayfren Gallego of Creations by Lourd Ramos Salon, Karen Agustin- Ostrea of Global Image Management, Celebrity Make-up Artists Geraldine Carlos and Al De Leon, and beauty bloggers/vloggers Shari of themistymom.com, Nikki Tiu of askmewhats.com, Bing Castro of theprojectawesome.blogspot.com, and Say Tioco Artillero of saytiocoartillero.blogspot.com.

I luckily attended the first five (5) Beauty Talks, with my fellow blogger friend Gina!

See some of the photos I've snapped during the event, hope you'll like it :D

Beauty Talks!

SESSION 1 - ALL ABOUT SKIN CARE

Although I've read a lot of skin care techniques and guides online and from talking with some skin experts, it is still refreshing to know what other experts says about it. I've learn a lot from Dr. Karen-Gavino Dionisio, especially about how much sunscreen protection we needed everyday.
Don't you know that we needed at least Eight (8) teaspoon of sunscreen lotion all over our body, top to toe.
That a lot right?!
Lesson Learned: Don't make TIPID your sunscreen. Use it like for its purpose.

SESSION 2 - ALL ABOUT HAIR CARE

Have you heard about the urban quote "Never Mess with my Hair" kind of thing?
Well, our hair is our crowning glory, and we feel complete ready to rock our day and feel confident wearing our beautiful and shiny hair. Our hair situation also immediately sends message if we have a great day, or a messy one.
Gladly, these hair expert dudes from the Creations by Lourd Ramos Salon shared us some techniques on our to take good care of our mane, and playing it up according to our mood and occasions.

Lessons Learned: Never stays shampoo on your hair for too long, as it causes built-up on our scalp.
Well noted guys!

SESSION 3 - BEAUTY BLOGGING

Blogging is becoming huge in the publishing and advertising industry, especially beauty blogging.
So Female Network had Beauty Blogger Shari of The Misty Mom, and shared us her beginnings and experiences she have on her successful blogging career.
Although I'm honestly doesn't impressed the way she delivered her speech that time, because its obviously she's rushing and cutting some of topics, because of another commitments -- still somehow her bubblyness makes her talks kinda fun. Kudos for good photos and editing she shared us.
Lesson Learned: Don't double booked an appointment. It tends to rush things that makes some fucked up.

SESSION 4 - HOW TO PRESENT YOUR BEST SELF
ohh i LOVE this session 4!
Thanks for Ms. Karen Agustin-Ostrea for getting us covered sharing us how to present yourself on public and learning some etiquette.
We've learned how to carry handbag properly, proper way to walk (like there's 3 men behind you), good hand gesture, proper way to sit down for both men and ladies, and other tips!
Lesson Learned: I'm gonna hire her as my consultant!

SESSION 5 - STANDOUT EYES AND BEAUTIFUL BROWS

One of the trickiest thing on face makeup is how to shape and maintain my brows.
Years back I've been wearing this strong-thin brows (that I thought was suit me) but turn out my face looks weird.
So I let it grow into full bush, then started again... for two years now I'm wearing a full brows that suits me and makes me look younger, hihihi.
But I'm not satisfied yet - thanks for Ms. Geraldine Santos, Brand Trainor/Make-up Artist from REVLON Philippines for teaching us techniques for eyebrow glamour care, and wearing simple eye make-up that pop and rocks.
Lesson Learned: Eye triangle technique is the best!
