How to Chillax Responsibly with Cool Kiwi Drinks, Volleyball, and Love The Beach

Many of us (yes that includes moi) views that the beach holiday is the platonic ideal of vacations: what nearly every traveler, whether active or armchair, dreams of. Just think about the soft sand, shady palms, a cold drinks, a warm surf – geez what more could you ask for?

No wonder so many ad campaigns hang their hook (and their products) on this seaside ideals, just like NESTEA’s newest summer campaign Love the Beach.

This year, NESTEA Love the Beach takes the lead in preserving Boracay’s shores through responsible tourism and various activities that keep the island clean.

To make the advocacy bigger and more sustainable this year, NESTEA is partnering with Boracay Foundation Inc. (BFI), a non-profit organization composed of over 150 members representing Boracay’s leading establishments, residents, and expatriates, which aims to bolster the island’s environmental, business, and social needs. Together with BFI and NESTEA brand ambassadors Jessy Mendiola (not in photo), Tom Taus, Joyce Pring, Sam YG and Arisse De Santos, NESTEA is inviting everyone to take part in coral rescue & replanting and shore & underwater cleanups.

“With the NESTEA Love the Beach campaign, NESTEA aims to encourage everyone to chillax responsibly—that is, to instill that sense of accountability and stewardship that is required of partygoers, tourists, locals, and consumers alike to keep Boracay one of the most beautiful and loved beaches in the world, while still setting the bar for fun, refreshing, and relaxing experiences.”

There are about 221,208 miles of coastline on the planet, and where ever there’s a shore, there’s the potential for a beach getaway. While you may be packing up your bikinis for a trip to Thailand’s Maya Beach, Mexico’s Marieta Islands or our very own Boracay anytime soon, there’s a whole world’s worth of tremendous beaches out there to explore.

Okay, I honestly got excited when my lovely friends from Perkcomm sent me an invitation to attend this launch. I wasn’t supposed to attend because it’s weekday (and yup I just feeling lazy that week due to unknown reason) but it is hard to say NO for these ladies. I admit they got me with their charm :D

I don’t know the exact reason – but each time I read and hear the word NESTEA, it automatically translate “vacation” and “summer”. Ugh maybe because of their previous campaigns and TVC about having fun during summer, playing volleyballs, best time to feed your eyes with these hot bods around (duh), etc.

So I didn’t plan days ahead what to wear, I just grabbed this yellow floral dress that I have for years, and hoping that I somehow blend-in….Gladly I succeeded on that part, I did blend in! LOL

It was held in The Palace Pool Club, one of the prime clubs in BGC and transformed it into a cool beach club-inspired theme. Okay I admit, NESTEA know how to party :D

Speaking of parties and having a blast this summer, the team also encourages all of us to become responsible vacationers/party animals – simply by applying the “leave no trace, only footprints” policy.

Don’t make these beautiful island, mountains, etc. as your easy access for trashy-world.

You bring-in your consumables, then bring-it with you when you leave. I’m sick of seeing and hearing these vacationers, both locals and foreigners trashing around (literally and figuratively).

We are adults, and oops kids are no excuse for this act. They are accompanied by adults so it is the adults’ responsibility to teach these little ones to be environment-friendly.

(okay, I’ve been ranting a lot and becoming an environment-activist, lol)

For our friends and colleagues whom you’ve noticed likes collecting tumblers and jugs for a reason...

NESTEA also have these collectible tumblers that you can buy available in most supermarkets, and also during the LABoracay season, and the coolest part of this is – each tumbler that you bought, a certain amount will be pledged for the foundation to help funding the cleaning-up and some tree-planting activities organized by BFI.

If you find the kiwi as yummy fruit, trust me you will also like and enjoy the NESTEA Kiwi flavor!

But I’m not sure if kids will like it, because this flavor seems created for adults (okay hard to explain in a layman’s words).

If you like to PARTEEYY then mixed it up with your favorite vodka, and voila! Instant Plunge!
