Hello Friends!
How time flies so fast, huh? Metaphorically, sometimes I thought it’s like I’m driving my fantasy Lamborghini on a freeway and just enjoying every single moment. But I tell you, there are many rough roads, hundreds of curves and sometimes sudden U-turn, but still I’m enjoying the life I have right now, lol. And I do hope that you also enjoy every single moment of your time, no matter what.
Life is nor short, but also FAST.
So we’re not talking a lot of heavy dramas here (coz you know me, I hate dramas that will give you so many wrinkles), but I’m going to share you some fair share of my experience, and some tidbits of observations about some brands or lifestyle.
As a lifestyle blogger (and now becoming a KOL-Key Opinion Leader), it is normal that I encounter and deals various of clients / brands in various industries, and I’ll telling you this – the ocean is so wide and huge, but you can only pick the one tiny spot that will be close to you.
Unlike most, which depends their stories on every occasions they’ve been, I (most of the time) try to share stories that most can relate to. Just like two year ago (2014), when I treated myself for some Vanilla Cupcakes and tea, and just enjoying my alone time, while looking out of the glass window and just thinking how this street have changed for years. And I like it.
And suddenly looking across the street, thinking that there is something missing on that building – I was just day dreaming actually, hahahaha but I had thought and wished that my favorite brand Uniqlo will complete these street.
I just have that feeling that if that will happen, definitely I’m one of the happiest customer them have.
Fast forward to November 11, 2016 happens to be Single’s Day (damn thanks Alibaba for this day special, lol) I honestly felt so happy, that my simple wished did came true!
The moment I saw that familiar red-and-white sign, standing proudly on the exact location that I wished for, I knew it is happening.
Yup, on Single’s Day – Uniqlo Philippines have opened its 34th Philippine branch in C3 Annex, The High Street, Bonifacio Global City, one of the upscale and my personal favorite place.
And I’m telling you, I felt that familiar goose bumps all over my whole body – just because something I wished for did happen.
And I was so excited (like a kid inside a candy store) when I visited the newly opened branch, and I am impressed and delighted to see these excited crowd browsing for their favorite pieces, and yes, taking advantage of the opening sale they offered.
This three-storey newly opened branch consists all our favorite Uniqlo pieces and gears, having the usual menswear section which always situated on the ground-floor, second level is for womenswear section, kids section on the top floor along with other accessories. Customers can freely browse the items, try them on before they buy, and I’ve noticed they have good number of fitting rooms and wide mirrors which I honestly I love.
Being in a busy High Street, with most of the crowds are working professionals, Uniqlo Philippines High Street have displayed their notable work wear to business casual clothing collection both for men and women, and as a shopper I find it very impressive.
Also I personally find this branch so convenient and accessible. This is perfect for us busy humans who have limited to no-time to visit malls just for a new pair of trousers and blazers.
Or maybe some emergency intimate apparel because, hey it really happens.
This branch also offers some workout / activewear outfits perfect for your after-work sweating. Okay, do also check out their Uniqlo Shoes which I am totally wanna grab!
Did you know that this branch is the first ever standalone store, situated outside the mall?
****
While snapping these photos for my post, I couldn’t help but reminisce how time indeed flies so fast, and here I am standing inside its 34th branch in its fourth year moving here in the Philippines.
A photo opp with then Managing Director, now a proud COO of Fast Retailing Philippines, Mr. Katsumi Kubota.
Okay – this is a little throwback and just noticed that I’m wearing the shades of Uniqlo, LOL.
I couldn’t help but recall during the summer of 2012 when I was one of the few bloggers who got lucky to grace the opening of its first Uniqlo Philippines Store located at SM Mall of Asia.
Looking back in 2012 during our first-ever press meeting, the moment I saw the simplicity of that red-and-white sign, I knew from that day forward – Uniqlo Philippines will be a lifestyle brand fit for Filipinos.
In 2012 when Uniqlo Philippines introduced their first 4 Filipino brand ambassadors, which makes garnered a warm welcome from its Filipino market.
During the traditional Kagamiwari at the pre-opening party. We also got a chance to meet the Father of Uniqlo, Mr. Tadashi Yanai.
*****
I believe that the “Asian-style” business culture in managing the business is what makes Uniqlo stands unique along the rest. From its 30 employees back in 2012, and now having more than 3000 employees all over the country, Uniqlo Philippines under the leadership of Kubota-san is not stopping, and will continue to flourish.
The culture that he established with his team, helping hand-in-hand in making the brand a reliable and trustworthy, delivering good quality products and services to all its shoppers in all levels of market.
As a blogger who have watched the brand’s journey of success for years here in the Philippines, I am happy that the brand I believe in is continuously doing so well in our country.
The brand also partnered with some NGO’s to extend their corporate social responsibility goals, and to give back to the adoptive country.
Before this 2016 closes, Uniqlo Philippines will soon to open their 35th branch at Fisher Parkway next to Fisher Mall in Quezon Avenue, this coming December 2, 2016.
Stay tune for that friends!
So here’s what’s fascinates me – would there be a Uniqlo Philippines Flagship store?
Mr. Kubota smiled and said, there will be – still thinking if it will be in Quezon City, Ortigas, or in Makati City. We’ll see.
amazing pictures, seems a great event if uu ask me...
