Tokyo Disneyland's Daytime Parade made me cry, and here's why

Not everyone knows... but I'm also a cry baby.
Tears flow nonstop down my cheeks whenever I feel so happy with glee.

And Tokyo Disneyland made me cried during our summer visit. Especially when I was watching with their daytime parade which instantly gives me that annoying tears, me all smiling while trying to balance my right arm while holding the camera because I want to capture that long parade. It didn't matter to me that it was 35-degrees outside, standing in an uncomfortable place with these tons of expectations. I was planning to sit and wait right on the front, but I give was for kids and older people whom I know deserves a perfect view.

Tokyo Disneyland Daytime Parade Summer 2019

Tokyo Disneyland's themed song "Dreaming Up!" was first presented back in the summer of 2018 in celebration of Tokyo Disneyland's 35th Anniversary. This parade song will stick around for about 5 years (2023), until its 40th Anniversary.

And while we wait for that to arrive, expect more Tokyo Disneyland related content here on my page which been sleeping for months (I got plenty of time now to edit while in the self-isolation period.

Just like this song, I dreamed of visiting Tokyo Disneyland, and it came true!

  2. Tokyo Disneyland looks like so much fun! I think it’s one of the only theme parks I’ve not yet been to. The parade is everything I’d expect from a Disney park; I’d like to see if for myself one day once this is all over.

    1. People in Japan said that Tokyo Disneyland always attracts attention compared to the other Disneyland like in US and Paris. There is something about Tokyo Disneyland that even those Disneyland hoppers can notice.

  7. Ooh I totally get your excitement about Disneyland and why it made you cry. I love how Disney can make everyone feel like a child again for one day, even if you’re uncomfortable and it’s 35 degrees outside! Winnie the pooh and piglet in the honey jar towards the end of the video were super cute!

    1. Tokyo Disneyland is situated in Chiba and surrounded by many school (both public and private) plus residential areas, so you will noticed that there are lots of Japanese kids visiting the place everyday, whole year round. Also, all characters and performance adhere to what Japanese culture is. You will notice is even the small details like how high-tech their toilets are!

  9. It has been far too many years since we last visited Disneyland anywhere. We certainly missed it when we were in Tokyo. I remember how excited my son was when he saw the parades. So much colour and sound. And not just for kids!

  10. So good of you that you gave way to elderly and kids for a better view of the parade. All this looks so festive like. I had been to Paris one but each city adds their own charm to Disneyland and they are unique in their own way. That is a long postponement till next July. Hope all goes well then!

  12. I love this post! Your photos are stunning, the floats look amazing! For some reason they look far more detailed to the ones I have seen in Disney World Orlando. I know what you mean, I get the same feeling when visiting places like this, especially while watching my daughter enjoying them! It brings back so many memories from when I was a young kid, and being able to share that with her is amazing! Disney is the dream vacation for any age!

  13. I have been to Disneyland Paris and enjoyed a lot in evening Disney parade. I too agree many people come here to witness this vibrant Parade with all of our favorite characters, movie scenes, and lovely music walking in front of us. I know for this parade people stand for hours and sometimes in heated sun as they don't want to miss this fun. Loved your photos.
