Lately, I can’t get enough thinking about those unwanted men’s suit hanging around the local op-shop and seems no one wants to have them. I am quite sad seeing the same pairs and not getting attention.
It took me a couple of weeks to decide what will I do with an oversized men’s suit, without fully disassembling all the parts and pieces, and turn them into a new look (I admit I wasn’t in that mood for more serious scrutiny).
One day, I decided to just grab the suit and see what will I do with it.
I found this oversized men’s suit from Vinnies Warragul op-shop for an unbelievable price of S1.00 – no wonder I got so excited taking it home! The fabric is all intact – no scratches or any damages.
For the final touch, I sew the hemline as neat as possible.
Well, it seems my plan turned out pretty good.
Check the final look!

Original oversized men’s suit from Vinnies Warragul op-shop; red sling bag from op-shop; sporty white cropped top, and gold-hooped earrings both from Kmart; boots from Dr. Martens.
Hope to get several oversized men’s suits in various fabrics and colors to add to my closet!

Delete1 dollar?! for an oversized suit with trousers? OMG! You know, that costs at least 4 to 5 dollars here in the PH, and the fact that it came in a pair that you can customize is such a steaaaal~~~!!!
ReplyDeleteI know right! Actually, this suit is originally came from a known Australian tailoring brand called Fletcher Jones, and their suits are always on-point, with estimate price of $300 the cheapest. Getting this for a dollar from a charity shop is totally dope!
