Zero Waste Fashion

How do you express your happiness?

Some people dance like no one is looking, others shout with joy like they are on the top of the mountain. Your neighbor shows their happiness by playing loud raving music, or your friends invite you for a barbeque party.

Others like myself show my happiness through the clothes I wear.

When I’m in a busy work mode, I wear super practical clothes which translates into a baggy t-shirt or my pajama with doggy prints (doesn’t matter coz I do WFH full time!).

And whenever I feel like I woke up on the right side of the bed, I prefer dressing up nicely, or when it was a good day, I prefer wearing lots of colors!

The 3-color rule of thumb flies out of the window, and I prefer sticking on my guts.

Just look at this latest outfit!

Colors make me happy!

I might not have everything in life, but at least I can wear lots of colors to my outfit, and that makes me smile.

After two years of living here in Australia, I learn from many Aussie creatives not to stick to the rules but focus on your art, creativity, and what you feel. I felt more free, leading to the highest form of happiness.

This colorful summer-inspired co-ord was patiently crafted using the textile remnants I save from last year’s DIY facemask project. These cotton textiles in various prints came from suppliers from Japan, India, and Bangladesh, and I’m glad that Spotlight stores in Traralgon and Pakenham always got my back.

I’ve learned not to waste any textiles and I always find ways to give them a second (or a third) life!

Not wasting any material makes me happy!
