How to Spot a Fake CROCS

After work, I usually drop by at the nearest mall to check new stuff. I decided to visit Landmark Makati - like SM Malls they sell nice items at very affordable prices. While searching for my new boots, my eyes are caught by the latest Crocs designs - they are so amazingly pretty! But I got more curious about the other "CROCS" just 5 meters away from the Crocs stand. These "CROCS" are FAKE - yes, also available in Landmark.

Using my iPhone, I've captured these pictures and I want to share with you the differences between FAKE Beach Line Boat Crocs versus AUTHENTIC Beach Line Boat Crocs. With the help of Crocs Philippines, here are some tips How to Spot the FAKE Crocs.

1. Tag:
Every Crocs shoe model has its own barcode. If the barcode of the Crocs shoes is similar to any other Crocs shoe model its definitely a knock off

2. Color:
There are only selected colors available for every Crocs shoe model, if the color of the Crocs shoes is not listed in www.crocs.com.ph it's fake.

3. Size:
Fake Crocs usually come in smaller sizes compared to what's printed on the sole.

4. Circulation nubs:
Each Crocs shoe prides on the circulation nubs that make it ergonomic and comfortable. Fake Crocs have "circulation nubs" but it doesn't have the ergonomic feel to it. Authentic Crocs shoes should have distinct circulation nubs that you must feel under your foot sole.

Is this FAKE or AUTHENTIC? Yeah, this is the FAKE CROCS - refer to Tip #2.

5. Logo:
Each Crocs shoe has an embossed Duke logo on the footbed. Authentic Crocs shoes must have the two eyes of the Duke showing and six even bumps on the back. The fourth bump from the top is a little bigger than the rest. The Duke should also have two hands showing, both with three fingers each like it's holding the edge of the box.

6. Material:
Authentic Crocs shoes are made of Croslite(TM) which makes all Crocs shoes lightweight, durable, and slip-resistant. Fake Crocs are usually made with rubber that is heavy and can be slippery when stepped on a wet surface. You can also tell through the quality and finish of the shoe.

To give you ideas about the available legit colors of the Beach Line Boat Collection, I'd like to present you with these 10 color designs of Beach Line Boat Crocs. If you have bought a color that is not included in this collection, that means it's a fake one.

To be sure that you are purchasing authentic Crocs shoes, buy them at Crocs concept stores, official outlet stores, official Crocs sale events, and authorized retailers only. Visit www.crocs.com.ph for more information.
