I Tried Shopping at Althea Korea & Bet you’ll be Addicted Too!

Hello, Ladies from all over the world!

Hope you had a fantastic Christmas celebration. I had my blast too with my family, and friends and nothing are more exciting than to catch up with them.

Unlike the previous Christmas celebrations, this year we’ve decided to be a little low-key: no dressing-up, and just wearing our favorite pajamas and fluffy bedroom slippers (as if we were having a grade school’s sleepover), wearing our Christmas headbands in various designs, and happily staying home while enjoying those festive foods that Mom prepared.

Plus some movie marathon (actually I suggested watching Christmas horror movies, but Momma disagreed, hahaha) so she has these Christmas movies including the Disney’s, so it’s like we are kids again, hahaha

It was so fun, so be just home with family and celebrating the lazy Christmas Eve. We will make it up this New Year’s Eve, Yey!

It’s almost 2:00AM on Christmas Day when I decided to open my laptop and write this post.

I know it’s Christmas Day and am not supposed to work, but I can’t help it. When a good idea and my writing energy calls me, I couldn’t help but grab that chance.

I have done shopping for Christmas gifts and shipped them to my friends and colleagues a week ago so I have nothing to worry about. But this time I suddenly remembered the items that I’ve both from ALTHEA last October which I honestly haven’t opened yet. So tonight I will!

If you are an avid follower of the Korean beauty trends, each year this Kbeauty trend is continuing to increase and I’m telling you that there is no sign of decline, adding here is the current South Korean’s pop-culture influence in music and fashion. Many Korean cosmetic companies are very diligent in discovering new products for the continuously increasing demand of their consumers.

What the fuck! That’s humongous!

Yeah and it continues to grow faster than your cat’s pregnancy (pun intended), and it’s crazy AF.

And as one of the beauty addicts in Asia, I am also dying to grab as much as possible all those brands from Korea – but my dilemma is the access and the fuckin expensive shipping cost and taxes the government and private shipping companies entail.

Gladly, the ALTHEA KOREA team have discovered this HUGE GAP and come-up with the birth of its company last July 2015. Its initial target market is the increasing number of consumers from Southeast Asia (from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines, which have plans to soon enter the Vietnam market).

Now am enjoying their service and I’m here to share with you my first-hand experience shopping from their website, and their newly launched mobile app.

I might be a little late in using the ALTHEA services to purchase my Kbeauty needs, but what the heck – I finally try shopping from their site last October 2016.

From Php1500.00 to Php999.00 that’s AMAZING!

For its first year of operation, I remembered that they’ve got an amazing warmth welcome from its consumers and it continues to grow. I’ve also following their Facebook page and I’ve noticed how hands-on there are to communicate with their consumer's inquiry, requests, including complaints (yes it does happens) and giving updates on their promotions, which I find it very positive!

When I’ve used the ALTHEA KOREA website – I recalled previously that they offered free shipping for a minimum amount of Php1500.00 (approx.. US$30.61 as of this writing), and sometime in October, they update it and now you can avail FREE SHIPPING for your minimum purchase of Php999.00 (approx. US$20.38 as of this writing).

WHAT THE FUCK AGAIN – THIS IS VERY CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know right, and my fingers are itching to finally try to purchase from ALTHEA KOREA.

So when I finally tried to shop last October 2016 – I had availed of the new FREE SHIPPING policy and here’s what I’ve purchased initially.

In my first ever purchased on the last 5th of October 2016, I’ve both the Guerisson 9 Complex Cream (70grams) priced at Php520.00, an Onsaemeein Carbonated Scoria Bubble Mask Pack (100ml) priced at Php360.00, and The Faceshop Rice & Ceramide Moisture Toner (150ml)priced at Php190.00.

So for a total shopping bag worth Php1,070.00 I’ve availed of its FREE SHIPPING! Yey!

I am honestly worried about online shopping because of the many hassles in the tax and shipping costs, and it’s very discouraging enough. But when I finally hit the checkout button, I was relieved I will only pay for that amount. I’ve used my Paypal money to purchased my items and hope for the best.

And if anything bad happens, then so be it and will be part of my review, hahaha

On the 11th of October, I’ve tried to track my package using the link that was sent to me via email:

During my research, I’ve found out that ALTHEA Korea has invested a lot of money and effort to streamline its shipping and logistic method and facilities, thus making it more easy and affordable for every consumer. Also, the reason why they could deliver every purchase hassle-free and safe (well unless some fortuitous event happens).

This tracker, it clearly shows what is happening to my package. I was relieved to realize how quick they processed my order.

Then I thought…hhhmmm ALTHEA KOREA is impressive! But still like they always say, never count your chickens not until the eggs are hatched – so I still prayed and hope for the best that my first purchase will arrive safely.

Then on the 13th of October, my receptionist ring me and said I have a package from ALTHEA.

WHAT?!! MY PACKAGE HAS ARRIVED!!!

Upon check-out, shipping is estimated to arrive at its destination within 10 to 15 days, and I’ve been shopping online from other e-commerce site and most of the time, this schedule was never meet. So I was really surprised that my orders from ALTHEA KOREA arrived after 8 days!

That is sooooo freaking awesome!!!

It was packaged in a sturdy cute pink box soo girly enough that everyone couldn’t resist. And inside, my items are all packed with bubble wraps and pink tissue papers well secured enough for transport.

All are tightly sealed – No spilled contents or flattened box. All are secured AF.

It was sooooo effin cute even the box per se. The box is also sturdy that I am thinking of reusing it.

It’s Christmas Day! And I remember I have something I want to purchase from ALTHEA KOREA!

So just this month, ALTHEA KOREA has launched its mobile app, available for shoppers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines!

I’ve read some Malaysian bloggers shared their ALTHEA KOREA party last week, and it was really fun. I was so glad that they’ve enjoyed it.

I’ve already downloaded the app 2 weeks ago because I know that I will be away from my computer for days.

As you can see, ALTHEA KOREA mobile app is quite new but already gathered 5,000++ downloads! The app is FREE to download and is available for Apple Store and Google Play Store.

And since I’ve already had an account from ALTHEA KOREA, it’s easy for me to just connect my account in their mobile app. You can also opt to re-register for a new account via email, your Facebook, and /or Google+ account.

To celebrate its launch, ALTHEA KOREA offers Php300.pp off from your minimum purchase of Php1000.00. I have to try this mobile app and see if this app will be me a good shopping experience.

So just this afternoon I browsed their app and started shopping! I am honestly excited, LOL

This time I’ve bought Its Skin Power 10 Formula Serum in VE Effector, PO Effector, and CO Effector all in Php390.00 each, a Skinny Blackhead Closing Serum 40ml priced at Php240.00 and an Eye Flower Eyelash Serum priced at Php40.00

Again all product reviews will be up soon once I’ve received these second orders!

And since they have this offer, I have to avail it! Before hitting the checkout button, I entered the MOBFIRST300 coupon code to get a Php300.00 discount!

As you could see, the Php300.00 is already reflected (that Php4.00 additional discount is from the Skinny Blackhead serum).

For my mode of payment, I chose to pay via Paypal because it is more convenient for me.

Actually, I don’t like to cash out money, so every time I’m having online transactions, I use my Paypal to cover me :D

The good thing about ALTHEA KOREA mobile app is that it confirms first how much you will be your actual bill. After hitting continue, I was direct to my Paypal account here the above shows how much will I pay the Althea Korea Sdn Bhd (which I realized I was billed by its Malaysian office).

After confirming and finalizing my payment, my orders have been accepted! YEY!

Then I’ve got another email confirmation about my 2nd purchase!

Isn’t it soooo fucking cool?!! I’m expecting that my orders might be got a little delay due to the holiday season, and I’ve already expected that I will receive them sometime in January 2017.

Once I’ve received my second order, I am planning to share with you my reviews of all my ALTHEA KOREA purchases if these would I recommend them or not.

Overall my ALTHEA KOREA shopping experience on both of their shopping platforms is quite exciting and very smooth sailing.

The mobile app is very user-friendly, I haven’t experienced downtime or any lags.

All the details are very clear, especially the payment options. You may opt to use your credit or debit cards for payments.

It doesn’t have those very annoying ads that keep on flashing onscreen unlike from other e-commerce apps – I literally hate those shits, I ended up uninstalling it.

With over 1500 brands and continuously adding, ALTHEA KOREA is definitely spoiling me AF, and no wonder that I am getting addicted to it!

Would I recommend you to shop at ALTHEA KOREA and use their mobile app?
