Yamazang at Burgos Street, Makati City
Have you been around the red-light district of Makati?
I guess some of you have been there, and most of you doesn't like to go, but I'm telling you -- though it's a red-light district, there are lots of interesting places in Burgos Street.
I would be honest -- I sometimes visit the place with my friends and find something interesting -- which includes new business openings, new clubs (yeah I did visit girly bars, I'll tell you more on my new post), new condominiums and hotel openings, and also new restaurants.
Last December, I decided to celebrate my milestone with my close friend at one of the new restaurant named Yamazang.
Located at the heart of Burgos Street, we went there for around 4pm to avoid too much crowd - but surprisingly, we are the only customers in of the restaurant for the next 3 hours.
So it's like we experienced the VIP treatment, hahaha.
I still felt a bit numb then, it was a day after my non-invasive treatment at Skin101 Station, wherein I had a cheek and chin augmentation :D
We don't expect the place to be fabulous high-end just like the other places we used to visit, but this place is quite nice.
I took a liberty of taking these menu snapshots for your guide, too!
They have a videoke machine wherein customers could enjoy singing (and dancing perhaps) while having their beers or sake.
I tried their Katsu Don with pork cutlet, eggs and rice (250php) and my friend got her a Kitsune Udon Set (noodle with fried tofu) (250php), and we also partake with a bottle of Sake (220php) to complete the meal.
Eating at any Japanese restaurant wont be complete without sake (either warm or cold).
She's having a hesitation at first but eventually I've convinced her to try sake (yup, sometimes I'm a bad influencer -- BEWARE!), this time a cold sake -- damn it really hit me and completes my cheap Nihon appetite, lol... and she ended up blushing! Tipsy na???
Okay, I thought kimonos should be long? Why is her kimono is too short?
Shi, remember we are in a red-light district, not in Kyoto! Okay I'll take a snap for you. Cheezz!
Excuse my cropped top and showing my tummy, we are soo full with those awesome food and if we didn't leave yet, maybe we might have another session, plus beers and karaoke.. hahaha partying and blending in!
Thumbs up, and we recommend!
xoxo, Blair
