How to Remove Your Stubborn Dandruff in Just One Wash!

Datu Puti vinegar, haircare hacks, cheap anti-dandruff treatment, anti-dandruff
Hello Ladies!

I understand that you’ve tried lots of hair care treatments to help you cleanse and remove hose stubborn dandruff and it's getting you crazy when nothing happens (yeah I know the feeling).
That uncomfortable itchiness, those white flaky substance that keeps on falling onto your shoulder (it would be cool if it’s snow!) but it's not cool at all.

And you’ve tried many anti-dandruff shampoos and hair care in-a-bottle available over-the-counter, and I understand that some of you have even undergone extensive treatment that yeah cost you a fortune.
But still, nothing happens… right?

What only happen is that you got yourself broke.

But don’t you know that the best hair care solution for that stubborn dandruff is just lying around your Momma’s kitchen? And that even those crazily thick dandruff can be removed easily, and using a natural way.

And ladies, this doesn’t or even will never cost you an arm and leg to buy it.

Allow me to share with you what my good Momma has taught me for years.

I use Datu Puti Vinegar!

Ohh yeah it really works, and thanks to my Momma for sharing this secret!

Datu Puti Vinegar is made of sugar cane, and it is all-natural. Most homes have this in their kitchen because this is a household brand.

PS. This Datu Puti Vinegar is only available in the Philippines (and some neighboring countries in Asia) and also the CHEAPEST, but YOU CAN USE only vinegar brands available near you. Sugar Cane Vinegar, Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut Vinegar, etc...

So how can Datu Puti vinegar help to remove your dandruff?

Simply pour a part of vinegar and dilute it with water. I use ½ cup of vinegar and dilute it with 1 cup of water.

Do this simple method. After washing your hair with your favorite shampoo (don’t condition your hair first) pour your vinegar solution onto your scalp. Let it sit there for 15 to 30 minutes.

In my case I let it sit for up to an hour, depending on how much you don’t mind the slight hurting sensation on your scalp. But I assure you, that feeling is nothing compared to waxing.

Vinegar is a natural acid, so it is understandable that it feels a bit hurting on the scalp. Don’t worry it will never make you baldy, LOL

So while waiting, I got this video clip just to annoy you about how much awesome this solution is:

The only downside of this is the very sour scent, well of course it is vinegar!

When you start feeling that hurting sensation on your scalp, it means the solution is working and getting into your roots and unclogging your hair pores, cleaning up to the core. And it’s a good feeling!
After that, you can wash your hair thoroughly to remove the vinegar.

Towel dry your hair, and blow dry. You’ll see how much your hair looks so healthy ala-hair the salon treatment.

Actually, after washing conditioner is optional. You will see how much your hair becomes softer and smoother, though sometimes it might smell a bit sour that’s okay. It will be gone after 2nd washing.

I don’t know why, but it really makes my hair so soft and smooth and very easy to comb. It’s like I’ve been to the hair salon for a hair treatment plus hair straightening.

For just one (1) wash my dandruff problem is gone! I do this treatment once a month. But sometimes just to be thoroughly sure, I did this treatment up to twice a month. It is expensive, you just need to a lot of time for this treatment, and would only cost you less than Php40.00 (or less than a dollar) for a bottle of this vinegar.

Just be careful not to irritate your eyes. Vinegar is vinegar and you already know how irritating it is in your eyes.

You can also use other types of vinegar: coconut vinegar, apple cider, or whatever.

I opt for Datu Puti vinegar coz it’s always available in our kitchen, plus very affordable.

PS. Another thing… if you have kiddos whose contemplating hair lice (eww!) Datu Puti vinegar is also a good remedy. Same method and procedure of application, and you will see how easily these lice will just fall/slide down your kid’s hair (but yeah it's kinda gross) and those lice eggs will be dead instantly, then you can easily remove them from hair strands.

Vinegar is a natural solution and perfectly safe for all types of scalps.

Have you tried vinegar as your go-to haircare? How are your experiences? Share it here!

xoxo, Blair

  6. Our little one is only a few months old and has cradle cap- we've been using coconut oil and some essential oils to help her and its awesome! Maybe it would work for dandruff too? I have no idea!

    1. Hello Meg!

Yeah coconut oil works too but it tends to become greasy. I remember my Mom did wash our hair with coconut milk (to make our hair more healthier and stronger) then wash and soak it in vinegar (for thorough cleaning), and hella it works! Maybe that's the main reason why we still don't have white hairs, lol.

The only awkward thing is, it looks like you are cooking your hair with vinegar, lol

  8. Should I mix it with water or apply just the way it is? My skin is very sensitive and I'm a bit worried that clean vinegar will make it even worse.

    1. Ideally you have to mix 1 part of vinegar and 1 part of water. Since vinegar is a natural solution, it is rare occasion that someone might got allergies with it. If you are brave enough and wants instant quickie result, you may use pure vinegar - vinegar per se contains water so no need to worry. :D

  19. Vinegar? I'm ok with using it but, not so eager after you mentioned the tingling sensation. It would be nice to use a natural product and have better, longer results then a traditional shampoo. Cheers to your mom for sharing her knowledge.
