Weekend at Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

Spending a weekend outside the city is the least that we can do in order to relax and regain our strength that was consumed for the past busy week.

And I understand that feeling of always checking your desk calendar for the possible long-weekend because WE MUST GRAB THAT CHANCE!

And that’s what I also like here in the Philippines, we always have many long-weekends available mandated by the government and our cultures, not to mentioned our personal long weekends out of our whim.

So today am sharing you one place that you can do your R&R with your family or beau perhaps.

The first time I’ve been to Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay was two years ago and still I could vividly remember how much fun I had. Together with my own crew at work, we spent our weekend and enjoy that “team-building activity” that our HR initiated.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

The Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay is a greenery place located in a more secluded area of the ridge. This is not your typical hotel because they have very spacious green place where your kids can play and be crazy and active.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

Kids can enjoy those swings and slides that are proven to be tough (because we adults tried them and its fun!). Though weather suddenly turns to quite gloomy, however that never discourage us to performed many team-building activities.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay
We run, roll-over and stumbled and it’s all fun!

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

Another place that you will enjoy here is their Organic Farm. There are times that they open a “Harvest Day” like harvesting lettuce, arigula and others with their guest, however we missed that chance. During harvest day, you can enjoy picking up fresh lettuce and buying it at a cheaper price.
This kind of activity gives more eco-friendly appeal to all their guest both local and foreigners. Kids could take part of the harvesting activity – also a good way to let them learn about planting, methods of harvesting, etc.

Aside from Organic Farm, they also have an Animal Farm! They breed farm animals in a natural way, and selling them to interested guests. They have chickens, ducks, turkeys and other poultry animals. But staffs are not allowing guests to feed them – well, for both safety reasons.

I remember them have turkeys walking freely around the greens, and I was naughty enough to play with them – being chased with turkeys with unknown reason is so much fun! And helps me to sweat a lot.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

What makes me more interested are their bunnies! It reminds me of my late bunnies at home (God rest their souls) and truly they are good pets. Although I’ve heard and read online that there are countries who breed bunnies and harvest them literally. I would never approved harvesting my pets!

Okay let’s go back to the hotel and am showing you their impressive facilities.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

I remember I paid my room for Php4000++ for two nights and that was a sweet deal (thanks corporate rates!), and that includes my full-board meals. My room is very nice and tidy, I estimate it’s around 36sqm area with my own television, a working desk, telephone and free wifi access, and a complimentary bottles of water and coffee.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay has a total of 50 rooms all fully air-conditioned, with premium beddings, some rooms have minibars, but all rooms have wifi access and cable channels.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

And the amazing part is my bathroom have a bathtub! Ohhh my you don’t know how much I am so thankful for this. Many of my readers overseas are saying they are having a hard time looking for mid-range hotels with bathtub inside. Well, Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay have it. With also complete toiletries and fresh towels, I had a wonderful bath time here before bedtime.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay
Okay just a quick mandatory selfie for my outfit! Hey it’s also DIY!

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

The reception area looks so cool too! I like the summer theme of the furniture sets and those pillows!

The staffs are so friendly and courteous. They are always ready to attend your needs so feel free to approach them anytime.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

And if you want to enjoy your time under the sun, they also have a pool outside, both for adult and kids!

I honestly didn’t enjoy this area during my stay because of the gloomy day. Because I never go swimming without the sunshine on me.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

And next to the pool area is their Joya Pavillion. It was spacious enough to hold an events like parties and weddings. Actually this place is quite relaxing for a simple country-style wedding theme.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

Another place I like about here is their dining area. It was spacious with very nice dining sets, and their foods are so nice, especially their buffet breakfast! The trick is you have to wake up early around 6:00AM in order to enjoy the freshly cooked meals they have. You see, I find breakfast the best meal of the day and I could spend hours enjoying it.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay
With my freshly brewed coffee and complimentary newspaper. This is indeed a lovely morning!

Even my crew loves their food both their buffet breakfast and dinner! During lunch we decided to just order ala carte.

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

During night time and my crew are enjoying the night swimming. If you don’t know yet, most Filipinos enjoys swimming when the sun is out. They are afraid to get tanned too much, lol.

Well I love getting tanned!

Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

Do I recommend this place for a long weekend?

YES, of course! I enjoyed my stay and I bet you will love it too. Especially their animal and organic farm.

But since this place have lots of greens, I advise that you bring insect repellents with you all the time, just a precautions for possible mosquito or insect bites. It is quite farther from the nearest hospital so better bring your emergency kit with you when you visit this place. Better be safe than sorry.
Remember, hospitalization isn’t glamour and its expensive AF.

This hotel accepts payment through credit so your AMEX, Mastercard and VISA are good here.

I've always been curious about Hotel Kimberley because Tagaytay is a place we love to go to as a family. We don't get to swim though, when we're there. Because we're not used to the cold. Even when the sun is up, the water can be freezing cold, haha. We've tried it before at another hotel and we didn't last more than 15 minutes!
