Writing and sharing stories and experiences are something that I love to do. And hunting for stories is one of the few things that excites me.
But never crossed in my mind about gaining blog awards, not until recently when I was emailed by the team from Thailand, and letting me know that I was nominated for Asian Beauty Blog Awardee for 2017.
What?! An Asian Beauty Blog Award?!
Then it don don me… I realized that many people have appreciates my works and even nominate be for this blog award.
Well, thanks Coupon Thailand for the nomination!
Although I’m already used to gaining awards (mostly academic back in college), gaining an online blog award is something different. I don’t care if they would send me trophies or stuffs or whatever – being recognized with my work gives me a fulfilling effect. That I am doing something good, relatable, and with sense.
So I visited the link and viewed the other nominees and I am so thrilled!
First, I know some of the blogger nominees, like the famous Malaysian-based beauty blogger Juli behind B for Bun Bun, Singapore-based Sesame of vivawoman.net, and Renee (also from Singapore) behind of that blogforbeauty.com – geez, I’ve been reading their blogs ever since I started, and somehow I looked-up to them!
Other nominees are based in India which am not familiar with, however they are more experienced beauty bloggers than I. And being nominated along with these experts is such an honor!
And guess what?
I solely represent the beauty bloggers from the Philippines! Yey!
Okay this isn’t a huge deal, however my mantra says that always be thankful for all the blessings, including the small ones.
The criteria of award (as the team says) are based on our published articles back in 2017.
Okay back to the said Asian Beauty Blog Award…. And since I was in the mood for this little blessings (and my feng shui calendar says that day it a success for me) I decided to have a little fun, and shared the voting link to my friends (whom I thought would support my little craziness), then expanded to my Facebook friends, thus having that hashtag #ShamelessPlug
So I was like “Fuck it, let’s do it!” kind-of-mood and tagged my online friends, tolerable enough to my craziness.
LOL
Of course I can’t please my over 1k plus Facebook friends (I realized that 70% of it I don’t know personally), however I felt thankful for those who joined my ride.

Oh before I forgot, Am sharing you my these recent #OOTD shots wearing my latest DIY linen dress, which I’ve also wore during the afternoon high tea at Connect Lounge, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila. I thought my sewing skills are already fading, but nope it isn’t. It’s like riding a bicycle – you’ll never forget. Although I’ve gained some little finger calluses and pricked myself many times, as I did sewing by hands.
Geez I wish have that portable sewing machine!
