Cebu has been known as one of the beautiful city of the Philippines. It is also one of the most progressive city, the land of talented and crafty people, and also splendid beaches and vacation spots.

I remember my first visit in Cebu years back, and am telling you it was an amazing experience. I’ve tried to mingle and managed to blend in the local scene, and appreciate their very accommodating gestures.

And one of the best part of visiting Cebu – I’ve learned that when you tried to learn their local language, your experience will be more pleasant, and the people tends to be more kind.

Cebu is also home of many famous designers both in fashion and interior designs.

And it was a great pleasure that the enterprises from Cebu have joined the recent 66th Manila FAME show here in Manila, to showcase the Cebuanos artistic and creative designs.

Having a huge 340sqm booth that they called Chambers, The Cebu Project which composed of 35 companies showcased their one of a kind designs, featuring new furniture designs, furnishings, fashion accessories, and food. The entire booth, which conceived from a hotel settings, also stressed the fact that Cebu is a resort destination.

Check the photos below during my visit at their humongous booth!

Ohh I couldn’t help but have than fan-girling feeling when I saw their booth! They managed to transform it into a boutique style hotel, which turns to be so gorgeous.

That hanging fibers are so beautiful and a perfect divider for home, your office or even your bedroom. Since it is lightweight and see-through, it could same space, and the air can easily pass through.

I love it!

This bed looks very luxurious! I always like that kind of bed, which I could also add some curtains around especially when it feels the weather a bit colder.

And one of the best part if this huge driftwood bar, made from a 70-year old dead tree!

I am so happy that I got a privileged to attend this season’s Manila FAME, and witnessed many designs from all over the Philippines.

I can’t wait for the next season, this coming April 2018. So please mark your calendar now!

    1. Yeah. This is a dead driftwood that was damaged due to strong typhoon. The artist decided to make a new life and now it is one of the famous driftwood bar in the exhibition.

Someone already bought it before the show ended. They just displayed it until the end of the show.

  21. It looks beautiful and it looks like you had such an amazing time there. I can definitely see why trying to learn the language helps. Not only do you understand some but they appreciate you are trying to communicate with them and will be happy. I have found that true with most people where we don't speak the same language. If we put out the effort to learn about them and communicate with them, no matter how poorly we do it, they appreciate the effort.

    1. Communicating with locals even you are stammering to utter their local language is still the best way to communicate with them. Not all locals knows how to speak the Filipino language, so I tried my best to reached them out by learning the language. It breaks barriers and they became more welcoming to guests.

Plus, there is no grammar-Nazis! Hahaha
