Layover Survival Guide: What to Do in Manila NAIA Terminal 3

Just a few days ago, a good news have been awarded to our former (worst) Manila international airports. Now, it is listed as one of the Top 10 most improved airports in the world. Yey!

If you have long layover, I’ve lined-up all the things to do to keep you happy, relaxed and occupied, from the best dining picks to the most relaxing spa treatments!

More space

Gone the days when our international airport is so dull you want to escape from it. Now it got many improvements, particularly the Terminal 3 (which I think I became a regular guest). I’ve noticed that there are days it is jam-packed with passengers.

And there are days that the airport is empty.

So each time I travel, there is no more boring times here at NAIA Terminal 3.

More food selection and restaurants

This Terminal 3 is now well-lit unlike before, and have many stores and food options to choose. Many restaurants have opened, and even fast-food chains for those who travel on a budget. Or you may opt to try various foods selection at the Food Hall. If you want a more upscale dining, you may visit the Marriott's Manila Café. Believe me, you will never go hungry.

You may try to have this humble ramen at Kaishu. They serve delicious and budget-friendly ramen that is perfect while you are waiting for your flight.

More waiting chairs

Yes, chairs!
Gone are the days when most of the people are all siting on a floor uncomfortable and feeling so stressed-out. Now, passengers can comfortable sit on many waiting sitting areas provided. All spaces are clean and tidy. However, we request to all passengers to be more mindful and considerate for others, so please no sleeping and occupying the whole chairs.

Free wifi

Yes, you read that right, and I couldn’t be happier. Some of you still have work to do online before you take-off, and some of you wants to leave an IG-story for your family before heading to your dream destination. Don’t worry now coz NAIA Terminal 3 offers free wifi connection. I’ve tried it more than once and I enjoyed it.

But I admit I like reading books while waiting for my flight.

Books? There is a bookstore available. You may drop-by at National Bookstore at NAIA Terminal 3 and grab your latest book, or be updated with your favorite influencer as she became the cover of this month’s issue.

Spa and Massage

I love having massage and enjoying my time at the spa, that’s why I was so happy when I found out that I can do it while am at the airport. I’ve tried having an hour of whole body massage at Mkenko Spa, upon my arrival from Hong Kong.

Is was so relaxing, and I felt so refreshed after my flight. They also have packages with free shower, which I recommend that you must indulge. If you are not into body massage, they also have foot and hand massage, and a place to leave your jam-packed luggage while waiting.

More tidy comfort rooms

In all senses, having a clean and tidy comfort rooms for both genders are very important. I’ve noticed that more comfort rooms are constructed, and the facilities are functional. All comfort rooms are handicapped-friendly.

Convenient access to Runway Manila

And if you are feeling more adventurous, you may pass through Runway Manila and head to the other side, the Resorts World Manila for more entertainment, shopping and food adventure. No need to hail your cab going to Resorts World from NAIA Terminal 3.

I’m so glad that our Manila airport are now lifting high from the worst airport into the top most improved airports this year, and I’m excited for more changes that the management will bring us.

For fellow passengers, always be mindful with others. Trust me, it will give you more good karma and making your travel more enjoyable.
