Treasure Hunting at Nonesuch Fair

Treasure Hunting at Nonesuch Fair, antique fair

Time is something that is hard to bring back. And if there’s any way that I can have a glimpse of yesterday, I would be happy to grab that opportunity.

I’ve learned to gain appreciation on many fine things, both the old and the new and it always excites me to attend events that could feed my desires for these things. I may not afford to have a piece of them, however at least having a glimpse is already satisfying enough.

Months back I got an opportunity to visit this premiere launch of Nonesuch Fair, a fine-art event where it showcased many collections of arts, antiquities, furniture, jewelry, books, maps, prints, and other rare collectibles from various private collectors, and exhibitors. Full of history and stories, this event that was hosted at Peninsula Manila is such an impeccable experience. I am personally glad that the folks behind Art Fair Philippines, and Art in the Park had decided to have this niche and posh three-day event.

The event also aims to attract the new audience / market for antiques. Presenting it in with a fresh vibes, like decorating it in a modern flat lay settings to make a good look. It is a good way of learning experience and promoting connoisseurship, and art and design appreciation.

Attending this fair is totally worth it.

  6. There are so many great finds in this museum. I agree that seeing antiques and knowing the stories behind these old things can really bring us back in time. And somehow helps us to put things into perspective- like the thought that time passes, so we have to make the most out of it.

    1. The collections are way different from the previous antique museums I've featured few days ago, but these items have actual huge value. One ring that I saw was already 5-decades old and the story it so wild. People can but items based on good history.

  12. Wow... this is a super cool post. I absolutely love shopping at antique shops and even estate sales as you can find fabulous things! I also love hitting some of my local thrift stores as I have found some real gems in them as well... such as a Fenton Hob Nob Milk Glass Pitcher that I got for $17 and change and that is valued at $130. Super cool and I love recycling and repurposing.
