For months (I can’t remember when I started) I’ve been mindful with my waste, segregating all those that can be useful to not. Then this eco-bricks craze came up recently (actually we’ve been doing it back in grade school!), however, it is cool that this old practice is now coming to be more popular now.
So I’ve been storing used plastic wastes inside those empty water bottles (or sometimes in soda bottles), separate with my paper waste, and believe me, it was more zen to do it.
And I have to admit you something that many bloggers didn’t realize – we always got a lot of waste.
Hear me out.
Whenever I attend these events, the PR hosts will always give out handouts/printouts of the press releases of what the event is all about. Then after the event, either they will give out a flash drive containing the same information or just email us.
The thing is, those print-outs are come to waste. I have a box full of those printout press releases and started to recycle them, removing all those useful folders or envelopes.
During my idle time or my writer’s block days, I have this box of paper waste and started to cut them all into pieces, and stashing inside these empty water bottles.
And I always think, why have these people start to promote saving papers and ink and just email us that information indeed?!
So here I am using my idle time to cut paper waste, but then I know that there is something I should do to at least cut my time cost, and still doing this little decluttering job.
And I decided to hit my Lazada app, and ordered this hand paper shredder!
This one is such a timesaver for me! It is handy, can be on your tabletop, or in your workspace, and still do an awesome job. Though it is non-electric operated, I still prefer this because this will help to exercise my arms, hahaha!
This is only good for shredding papers only, and cardboards might give you a tough time (so I still cut cardboards manually!). However, this is good enough for my needs and I am happy with this.
How much is this hand shredder?
I only got this for Php499.00 from Lazada and that includes my delivery cost, arrived at my office after 24hours. Awesome!
It was shredding my paper waste so smooth and in the good cut!
And I also realized that I can use those shredded papers for my product photo-shoot like this;

Pretty awesome, right?! Now I feel motivated to do more paper shredding!
Verdict:
I never regret buying this hand paper shredder! It is affordable and does an awesome job at home.
You can also get this for your office for personal use. And saves me in electricity cost!

ReplyDeleteNot good for cardboard, but good for papers only 1 paper at a time. I don't expect that this is super durable because it is cheap. For my current needs, this is perfect!
DeleteGusto ko ng paper shredder na yan ASAP! as a teacher super dami kong papers lagi and most of the time diretso sa trash bin nalang sila lagi.
ReplyDeleteExercise din sa arms kasi manually operated.
DeleteI used to play with paper shredder at my dad's company and now I miss it and I want to own one because I always have trouble ripping off personal docus / receipts that I don't need anymore. This one is a workout though! Haha
ReplyDeleteWe also have a huge paper shredder here in the office, and it is utilized a lot because we strictly protect data privacy. Yup it was enjoyable using them both.
