Hello Internet!
Hope the day is treating you well, even though we gradually embrace the ‘new normal’ while trying our best to live our new lifestyle while staying safe.
I know that some of you are enjoying the beauty of the summer season and please… I tried my best to stay away from the #summerescapade search coz it only gives me heartache while browsing many picturesque summer destination, including the latest summer fashion updates… even though most of us can’t travel, and you are enjoying the summer right next to your backyard with your inflatable pool, and outdoor cabanas, more mojitos, and snacks, with your few chosen besties (coz her restrictions!).
Yes, the idea of that summer feeling is definitely making me feel jealous, coz I am sitting here in front of my computer (in my loungewear of course plus dressing robe!) while contemplating this Victorian winter. I would be so lucky if the sun’s out for a few days, and I considered it a very glorious day!
I’m still adjusting to this cold weather (I love snow but I realized the snow doesn’t love me back, lol) and good thing we don’t have snow in the lowland, and only when we visit uphill in Mount Baw Baw.
Now that we can’t travel a lot and just staying at home (which I do love), I tried my best to look good while feeling cozy in our new lounge room (hey, we just moved into our new house!).
Here are my latest loungewear #covidfashion winter edition, in collaboration with our friends from Femme Luxe Refinery! Thank you, girls!
Sage Crew Neck Cropped Loungewear Set – Lola
I felt good wearing this loungewear (in camel color) so I decided to get one in sage color.
Aside from watching the news online and on television, I also keep updates from regional newspapers available (though it is quite sad to hear about hundreds of regional newspapers been terminate their printed issue and switching to digital.
The local regional newspapers help me to be updated on what is happening around us, coz not all news is being covered by national newspapers. The Gippslander newspaper is one I have been reading recently. To get updates from the local Filipino-Australian community, I read The Philippine Times (Australia), the oldest Filipino-Australian local newspaper in the country.
Just like my previous loungewear set, I love this pair coz it is wonderfully comfortable and the color matches somehow to the nature that surrounds my home. I can also mix and match it with my other loungewear. Or maybe a cool T-shirt!
Tan Ribbed Wrap Bat Wing Bodycon Mini Dress – Bailey
The bodycon dress does not fit me, but hey I did alter it!
Here’s the nice bodycon dress that I’ve been meaning to wear as soon as I got my FemmeLuxe package but turns out this dress doesn’t fit me. I ordered one size bigger (large) than my actual size, however, it was unexpected that the dress would not fit me… like my big butt can’t fit! LOL.
What should I do? Did I cry for this one mishap piece?
I never cried over spilled milk… I laugh at it!

I gather my sewing kit, and started unstitching the dress and tried my best to make this work. If the bottom part can’t fit me, then I removed it and save it for future use. Then I stitched back the upper part of the dress and here’s the result!
It turned out pretty good and now look better pairing it with my joggers. I love the style of this top, including the color and there is no way that I will not think of an alternative. What do you think?
White Belted Bodycon Midi Dress – Angelica
You have noticed that I got the exact dress (in red color) from my previous FemmeLuxe post.
I mentioned previously that red dress is a piece that rarely seen in my closet, and I am happy to have my first red dress from FemmeLuxe. I felt so good in that dress that I immediately ordered another color. A white dress is also another quite tricky to wear (in my opinion) because I must act lady-like just to save the dress from accidental damage and stains. But hey, here I am wearing the white bodycon dress while lounging on my deck reading Kevin Kwan’s latest book Sex and Vanity. I need this book for my travel and society sanity’s sake.
Black Belted High Neck Ribbed Bodycon Mini Dress – Emmy
Wearing LBD will always in-style.
I mentioned from my previous blog ages ago about wearing a little black dress. Many assume that black translates into sadness and mourning. But for some including me, wearing a black dress translates the opposite.
When a woman puts on a black dress, the world assumes she is sophisticated, sexual, and knowing. In black, she is charting her own course.

Say it and everyone knows what you are referring to: a dress that is simple enough to appear effortless, yet elegant enough to mark the wearer as a woman of taste.
Choose a black dress. And you will never out of dress in your lifetime.
What do you think of these winter loungewear and dresses? I would love to read your comments below!
You look great in your attires. Again, many will find your commentaries useful.

DeleteLOVE what you did with that nude dress! I am seriously amazed. Repurposing it into a track suit was such a good idea, and it looks both sleek and comfy! I'm definitely jealous of your sewing skills!
