I’m Blair and I’m a Loveaholic

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Just like the most favorite Christmas Day, the V-Day is not just for those who luckily found their partner-in-crime, but for everyone including your four-legged family members. We can celebrate it in any possible way we can and make someone feel extra love.

To commemorate this day, I made this cute upcycled outfit using the fabric scraps I have in my work studio. I was inspired to create this outfit after watching Paris Hilton’s Netflix series ‘Cooking with Paris’, where she wore this heart-print dress designed by Michelle Torres (known for creating dresses in loud and fun prints), and when Lily Collins dons a heart-printed midi dress with extravagantly pleated sleeves from Anouki called the Sophia, seen in Netflix’s Emily in Paris S2.

I love loud prints and extravagance, and while my current materials are quite limited, I decided to create a different look.

Check my Tiktok video for some action.

Instead of creating prints, I improvised by using the applique technique of adding the cut-out heart-shaped red cotton fabric onto the white fabric. It took me a lot of patience, and occasional needle pricking before I felt satisfied enough for the number of hearts I could sew-in.

What do you think of this look?!
