If you're looking for something different from the typical tourist attractions, we've got your back. Let's explore 6 incredible spots that are located outside the typical tourist bubble.

A couple of these off-the-beaten-track attractions are in Brooklyn. So, if you want to stay somewhere while exploring all places in a relaxing mood, the Condor hotel could be a good choice.

It's a great place to spend some quiet and peaceful time, away from the buzzing city life. This is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking views of some iconic NYC landscapes. Just sit back and delight in the spectacle of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and New York Skyscrapers.
This waterfront destination features many awesome amenities including kayak rentals, playgrounds for children of all ages, fitness classes, and much more.

A hidden gem in Brooklyn, Pebbles Beach is the perfect place to take your family for a day of beach fun! The calm waters on the riverside beach make it an ideal spot for relaxing during the hot summer months.
This cute little beach offers scenic sunset views of the Manhattan skyline and Brooklyn Bridge. If you want to explore a bit more, places like the Picnic Grove, Jane's Carousel, St. Ann's Warehouse, and more are within 5 minutes of walking distance.

Being the oldest tavern in NYC, it's a must-visit place — if not for the fascinating history, then for grabbing a drink. This historic landmark dates back to 1719 and had been linked to various historical events and figures. Over the years, it has served as headquarters for various political clubs and housed several taverns and restaurants.

Today, Fraunces Tavern is a restaurant and museum dedicated to telling the story of American independence. This New York City landmark also includes an English-style tavern with food, drinks, and live entertainment!

Roosevelt Island, Manhattan
Roosevelt Island is a small island in the East River, located near its meeting point with the Harlem River. This little patch of land is home to many and is often overlooked by New Yorkers and tourists alike.

But the island has much to offer for those who make the journey there. It offers scenic views of Manhattan and Queens; the Blackwell island lighthouse; and freedom parks. You can roam around the island with a free shuttle bus service.

The Met Cloisters is an art museum housed within the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The building it stands on is called Fort Tryon Park and is located in Upper Manhattan. It was designed by Charles Collens, who took influence from the medieval architectural tradition.

It's a beautiful place with an incredible view of the Hudson River Valley and New Jersey Palisades across the river. The museum has a collection of tapestries, paintings, frescoes, and other art items.

Red Hook, Brooklyn
Red Hook is an up-and-coming neighborhood in northwestern Brooklyn. It's known for its charming cobblestone streets and eclectic mix of businesses, like restaurants, art galleries, grocery stores, and clothing boutiques. You can also spend time in various quirky bars and take wine tasting tours in indie distilleries.

For residents who live there (many of whom are artists) and tourists, it offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown New York.
