The Age of Alessandro Michele: Valentino Resort 2025

Alessandro Michele's exit with Gucci after seasons of hyper fashion that we love is a huge shock (we can't get enough of fashion gossip), but thankfully he is back to shock the fashion realm as he is now the newest Creative Director for Valentino three days after the shock exit of Pierpaolo Piccioli.

A few days ago, the designer unveiled a surprise Resort 2025 collection, showcasing his vision for the brand in a distinctly Michele manner. The collection, featuring 171 ready-to-wear looks and 93 accessories, was described by Michele as a prelude to his major debut. Named "Avant les Débuts"—French for "Before the Debuts"—this collection serves as an appetizer before his inaugural seasonal collection for spring/summer 2025, set to be revealed in September.

Valentino Resort ’25 is packed with Michele-isms. Beyond the retro prints and glaring 1960s and 70s influence, there are frills, lace, and Jackie Kennedy-style silhouettes aplenty. There is a little bit of fur, some tweed, and touches of on-trend leopard print.

And we all here watching and excited for the release of Valentino's newest collection. Alessandro Michele is the prince of maximalism and dopamine dressing, and expect that we will be watching and will get more inspiration for our personal style gratification.
