Hope you had a wonderful time celebrating (with somebody, or with your puppy!) the New Year, and I have this huge feeling that 2025 will be another best year for all of us.
There’s been a lot going on since last month, a lot of changes on my end, but don’t worry—everything will be alright.
I have so many ideas in mind and lots of blogging and editing to do. However, I am taking things a little slower than before because sometimes it is truly overwhelming.
Soon you’ll see more stories about my previous travel overseas, and locally and I am truly excited about that.
For now, let’s take this moment to appreciate every simple joy we’ve got.
For this 2025 first OOTD post, I dressed-up as a Valentino Garavani Girl (on a budget) inspired by the recent Valentino Resort 2025 Collection presented by its genius designer Alessandro Michele.
I love the mix of vintage and new, and the overall maximalism look, a bit chaotic for some eyes but tells a lot of stories.
Just like when I put together these pieces from my closet. The dress was a gift from my friend Liz (an old lady I worked with at the op shop), so I decided to remove the long sleeves to fit me well. The faux fur coat is another piece I made using upcycling old faux fur textiles that I inherited almost three years ago from a lovely lady in town (I sourced it from Facebook Marketplace), and paired with this leather handbag ($4) that I recently purchased from the Helping Hands Op Shop located in Airport West, VIC.
The dress is layered with this skirt made of linen.
The shoes are from MANGO that I bought over 8 years ago from Manila and brought to Australia when I decided to permanently live here. I am glad that I kept them in very good condition after all these years!
Let me know what you think of this look!
