Don't Get FAKE: 5 Ways To Spot a Fake Diamond
Which one is a fake? I'll tell you it's the one on the right.
Here's the bad news: fake diamonds are almost impossible to spot with the naked eye. "There isn't anything you can see or feel to help you tell the difference between a real and simulated diamond, says Naomi Fowler, Managing Director and resident diamond expert at Anna Sheffield Bridal.
And here's the good news: the professionals have a whole bunch of tests to make sure you don't get ripped off. Here are five ways they can spot a fake.
The electric test: "Diamonds are tremendous electrical conductors, which is one of the things that makes them so useful for industrial purposes," says Fowler. Every jewelry store has a simple device for testing conductivity. A metal needlepoint touches to the stone. If a light goes off, voila… you have a real diamond on your hand. If the light doesn't go off, it's a safe bet you're rocking a cubic zirconia (CZ).
The rainbow test: "That prismatic effect that diamonds get, that rainbow?" [Moissanite and cubic zarconia, the two most common diamond simulants] actually throw more rainbows and more fiery stuff than a diamond will," says Fowler. Both are slightly more refractive than diamonds, hence that extra fire.
The magnifying test: If you look at the edges of a real diamond, they're always super pointed and crispy. Under high magnification, CZ and other simulates will show abrasions or scratches.
The weight test: CZ's are much heavier than diamonds. This gets difficult to measure when the stone is in a ring setting, of course, but experts can identify weight discrepancies.
The flawless test: A final giveaway is that fakes look a little too perfect. If your rock has no visible inclusions (spots or flaws), you've probably got a fake. Either that, or you have a flawless diamond on your hands—in which case, congratulations, you can start planning your retirement.
For the most part, Fowler says, there's really not much to worry about when it comes to shopping for diamonds; there's very little chance that you'll end up with a fake. "I think a lot of the stuff about buying cubic zarconia on the street is urban legend," says Fowler. "No one's going to be in business for longer than like 20 seconds" if they're selling fakes. So, just stay away from anyone selling an engagement ring out of the trunk of their car, and you should be fine.

Fashion Upcycling: From Over-sized T-shirt into a Fabulous New Top Blouse
Hello gals!
Not most of you know that one of my oldest hobby is sewing. I've started to learn sewing during my 4th grade. My mom has her own sewing machine and I enjoyed watching her, cutting beautiful fabrics and have those colorful threads. It was my first love.
Last few weeks ago, I've got this project done and I really like the result. At first, I can't decide what to wear for the UNIQLO Fashion Show, and buying a new clothes is not an option for me that time. So I decided to upcycled my over-sized T-Shirt, that I've got from a friend as a gift - a souvenir shirt from Australia, with a beautiful aboriginal prints. I've got all my sewing stuffs and I started to do some magics!
First I've made a pattern out of newspaper, then I placed it to my T-shirt and start cutting off the excess. I cut-off the sleeves and cutting an arc in the hemline, and after hand-sewing (ohh yes, I don't have my sewing machine here) then here's the finished project.
Look at this design? Isn't it beautiful? For me it's unique and I believe it will stand-out.
I've paired it with my rusty-colored shorts, black leggings and my black boots. Very casual but chic (and economical). I've successfully pull-it, without swiping my magic cards.!
Yes this is only hand sewed. I have perfected hand sewing for many years and I am proud of it. :D I am excited also for my other upcycle projects and new designs, so just stay tune gals!

6 Steps to a More Confident YOU

Having confidence is a state of mind but sometimes it’s not easy to ‘get there’. How to feel good about yourself, be able to make conversation with just anyone, and handle any issue with a smile on your face? Here are simple steps to help you get more self-assurance.
1. Love Yourself
Having an essentially positive attitude toward yourself, your personality and appearance, is a key to gaining confidence. First step to get it is simple: tell yourself every day aloud in the mirror: “I love you. You are amazing”. It might look funny and sound awkward, and sometimes it really isn't easy, but with time it will be just natural and you will start to believe it fully.
2. Know your Strengths
Make a list of what you do well. Find every tiny detail in your life, every small or big thing you are good at, from cooking or learning new things, remembering birthdays, to solving problems or having great gift ideas. Then read it over regularly to remind yourself how skillful and worthy you are.
3. Beware Comparisons
Stop making comparisons. We all have things to offer but our skills may be very different to those of others. Life would be boring if we were all the same! Just be yourself and remember that you are unique in your own way. Confidence is the key. If you don’t believe in yourself nobody else will.
4. Dress Well
Clothes make the man. So make it strong and confident one. Feeling good about what you’re wearing is an instant way of injecting confidence into your life. When you dress well and look good you automatically feel better. This way you can boost your attitude, self-confidence and feel good about whom you are.
5. Use Positive Affirmations
Visualizing yourself as a confident person is one way to create a confident mentally. Positive affirmations also help. Find a couple or use our suggestions below) and just repeat them to yourself any time throughout the day when you feel a little down.
6. Fake it
You can gain confidence by acting like a confident person. Move like one, act so, use similar gestures. Stand up straight and believe in yourself! Simply ‘fake it til you make it’! Nobody needs to know that you’re cringing underneath your confident mask. Eventually you’ll no longer need to pretend. You’ll become a real self-confident person.
