How to Travel Cash-less in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia? Introducing the new KL Pass!

The KL PASS provides seamless access to the numerous attractions in and around Kuala Lumpur


Tourists to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city, can visit its various tourists site the cashless way with the just-launched KL PASS.

The city’s mayor, Datuk Mohd Amin Nordin, said at the launch of the pass that it was aimed at providing seamless access to the numerous attractions in and around Kuala Lumpur.
The pass, produced and managed by Meridian Tourist Access Sdn Bhd, also comes with various benefits. Among them are skipping the queues at tourist sites with Fast Track lanes, enabling tourists to get around the city on the KL Hop-On Hop-Off tour bus, and discounts/offers at dining and retail outlets in various shopping malls.




The pass also comes with a complimentary guidebook packed with useful information about the various attractions and instructions to get to them.
Meridian Tourist Access’ managing director, Farouk Nurish, said the KL PASS project cost RM1.2 million (US$271,000) to set up, with another RM1 million expected to be spent.

The company is working on adding public transportation to the cashless solution.

The KL PASS comes in validities of one, three and six days. It is available for purchase online at www.klpass.com, and at various sales outlets in the city and at the KL International Airport.


How to Use KL PASS ?

Step 1 - Look for KL PASS Logo at the designated counter or admission point.
Step 2 - Present you KL PASS to the attendant or ticket collector. The attendant will confirm the validity of your KL PASS by inserting it into the KL PASS reader. Upon confirmation of validity, a confirmation slip will be printed and handed to you together with your KL PASS card.
Step 3 - You will shown straight through. You will not be required to pay any entry fee nor purchase any ticket. Enjoy the attraction!

Note: Opening times may change - you are advised to check with the relevant attraction before you visit. Do check the details of the attraction you wish to visit in the relevant section of the KL PASS Guidebook. Please note that there is no-readmission to any attraction, and admission is subject to the normal terms & conditions of each attraction.

  1. KL Pass looks easy option to get around Kuala Lumpur.Glad to know that we can book it online and thanks for sharing the Procedure to get the KL Pass here. For me 3 days Pass seems good option.
