How’s your week? Hope yours are wonderful and you enjoy every single moment of it.
Because if you’ll ask mine – YES it went very well. I’ve been busy since last month with various engagements left-and-right which leads to some little delays in my blog posts. Ohh, dear!
It was a fruitful week and everyday am thankful for all the challenge that I’ve experienced, and I felt blessed too for all the new learnings I’ve acquired.
I remember those days when I haven’t done this blog – I was a girl so comfortable with my own life, and afraid to try something new – a lady who was afraid to have a change. I was comfortable and felt satisfied with what I have then.
And as my mentors have always said: “The only permanent in this world is Change.” You have to embrace it.
And when that time comes that, a huge change is what I need to move forward – I’ve embraced that change just like I’ve embraced my first teddy bear, holding it so tight – praying and also wishing that nature will guide me wherever this change will lead me to.
From a provincial girl, and now happily living the urban life, and exploring all the possibilities in life I’d say I am happily embracing that change.
If I didn’t initiate that move, maybe or possibly – I wasn’t invited to the recent launch party of POND’s Institute skincare – one of my favorite skincare lines in the market that I’ve been using since I started to learn the true definition of vanity.
The newest POND’S Girls celebrities are Sofia Andres, Kathryn Bernardo, Toni Gonzaga, and Joey Mead-King.
The white party was held at the newest BGC Arts Center, just a few walks away from my place, and am telling you, the newly opened art center is truly promising. Aside from a quite spacious place to hold various occasions and an impressive audio and sound system, you’ll also adore the spacious outdoor sitting place with steps, which you can sit down with your friends, ala-Gossip Girl setting.
I’ve decided not to wear white and just my Chanel-inspired dress, I’ve joined the ladies in celebration of this another change in the POND’s skincare line.
Frankly speaking, I’ve done research and readings for the possible change in the POND’s skincare line per se, however, there are not many modifications that happen.
Well except for its much sleek and simpler packaging from its facial wash line, whitening skincare line, an anti-aging skincare line. But the whole technology of the skincare per se, they are still the same which I felt truly relieved because their skincare technology is no doubt works for most of us Asians particularly us Filipino ladies and gentleman.
I was honestly felt a little nervous that they will make an upgrade to the product per se and will leads to a flop.
Together with the other POND’s Girls for many years, I don’t know how many they are now
But what I’ve genuinely noticed is that POND’s have picked inspiring Filipina women that capture the most of our hearts. From entertainment celebrities to influencers, POND’s Institute has been successfully created that “Filipina’s beauty and bloom” embraced by most of us.
And of course, it’s truthfully hard to deny the fact of how gorgeous these ladies are. And while am doing my part as your online influencer/lifestyle blogger, I couldn’t help but photograph these ladies with remarkable beauty.
And of course wishing that “Oh my, please Mother Nature let me aged gracefully just like them!”
Isn’t they are gorgeous?!
And of course, since it’s a white party, I couldn’t help but noticed the White Fashion at BGC Arts Center that night.
I’ve been grown my sweet-lolita style for many years and because of change, my fashion taste also evolved for something bigger and more open. This is why I adore Rissa Trillo's outfit having an interesting halter top, tied at the back and her bottoms with a side cape! It’s like giving an illusion wearing a dress on a side view, and androgynous upfront.
Okay Rissa, your dress definitely inspired me to create my own version soon – DIYed!
POND’s Brand Ambassadors Nadine Lustre, Rissa Trillo and Toni Gonzaga
BTS of their live Facebook broadcasting for POND’S Institute. Gorgeous ladies need help too :D
One of the belles that I truly admire, Love Marie Ongpauco-Escudero – a multitalented Filipina actress, celebrity, brand ambassador, model, writer, a famous painter, an entrepreneur, and one of Asia’s members of Hermes bag collectors – Love Marie is someone you should never miss. Her exquisite beauty is very alluring, and inspiration no doubt.
Very down-to-Earth lady, and an animal-lover – no wonder she is a darling for most. Well even from the media people.
I remember I’ve also visited her very first art exhibit in 2014 at Ayala Museum that marks her first solo exhibit a totally hit and sold out all her paintings! I will share it on my different posts, so stay tuned! :D
Media people are too busy interviewing the POND’s brand ambassador, and I think they are missing one of the most important parts of the Philippine arts and culture. Her name is Ms. Ann Ong – a renowned Filipino jewelry designer that I’ve been following three seasons of Manila FAME. She started at the very young age of eight years old, where she developed her fascination with crosses and handmade accessories. Now she has created a name and a brand of her name, who is also an advocate of Filipino craftsmanship, she is now one of the well-respected artists in the industry.
And no wonder I am all eyes on her when I saw her. I have to pinch myself!
Guests are almost going gaga with the brand ambassadors, while am here just have eyes on Ms. Ann Ong.
I couldn’t help but have that courage and ask her for a photo opp. She’s a very down-to-Earth, very creative, and talented woman, I felt so happy that night – and have all that smile on my face. She’s an inspiration for me.
Just look at her necklace? That’s one of her newest collections, and many more as she said this coming May 2017 at Manila FAME. So there will be more stories to come!
This gorgeous lady is also wearing an exquisite belt created also by Ms. Ann Ong.
Her smile is very astonishing – celebrity photographer Sara Black arrived wearing her simple sleeveless tank top paired with a sheer white skirt and open-toe flats. Ah, she’s also very graceful and talented – and even doesn’t mind that her tank top has a yellow stain on its left-back side.
That’s confidence and I love it!
It was so lovely to see these confident Filipinas gathered around and to celebrate that every change in their lives is truthfully beautiful. There might be times that it was grey, but still summing it up it is all brightly shining.

As an online influencer/lifestyle blogger, am so blessed and happy that finally, I wasn’t afraid anymore. I am now moved forward and smiling – not afraid for any possibilities, and am feeling like Alice in Wonderland – a lady so curious and excited for anything, to check all the opened doors and windows that are opened for me.
And indeed #ChangeisBeautiful
xoxo, Blair

DeletePonds is such an age old brand, that when it changes its products I think it would be difficult for me to identify with strangely.
ReplyDeleteI agree, and basically I've noticed that they don't really changed the product formulation. But just keep on changing the packaging to make it more appealing to new markets, and trends.
