We all love to travel and explore the world, however restrictions suck!
Here's the vlog of my 24-hour stay in Fiji (that is supposed to be a 4-day vacation) but due to unexpected chaos and pandemic brought by Covid-19, our trip was ruined. However, even though it is just a short trip, we managed to enjoy the time. I am just thankful that we have the capability to make things happen even in a short period of time. I'm truly grateful, and thankful.
How about you? Does your travel plans also postpone? Or canceled?
oh wow what a luck ( i mean no luck) to have while being on holiday , and i am glad that even tho it was cut short you still managed to make most of it
ReplyDeletekind regards @patirobins @style squeeze blog
it felt like a race! I am just glad that we got capacity to make things happen. With our unused airline tickets and hotel, we got a refund.
DeleteI haven't been in Fiji. It looks like an amazing place. I'm so sorry that your trip was cut short. Safety first!
ReplyDeleteFiji is a very wonderful place, you should add it in your travel list! we will definitely coming back after this pandemic.
DeleteEven a short trip - even one that is impacted by unexpected things like this virus - can still be incredibly. I think this is proof of that. Just being together can make it great.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Some choses to stay, then eventually got issues in the Australian Immigration.
DeleteEven 24 hours in Fiji has to be amazing. I've been trying to get a trip to Fiji together for years, but I haven't been able to make it happen yet.
ReplyDeleteIt was an unexpected trip just to comply on my visa regulations (coz I can't go back yet to the Philippines), and it was an amazing place! The people are soooo genuine!
DeleteGlad you were able to enjoy your time, what little you had. I wouldn't have wanted to leave early either! Or plans were cut short as well. We were visiting England when the restrictions started up.
ReplyDeleteohh I hope you guys had enjoy your England trip as well even your trips are cut in short too!
DeleteOh yes. We are missing many trips due to covid-19. We missed our spring break trip plus a Vegas conference in May.
ReplyDeleteWe can always make it next time :) Hope this pandemic will be gone soon.
DeleteI have been to Fiji and I agree it’s very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWonderful it is! I will definitely coming back :D
DeleteAt leaast you were able to leave, imagine being stuck in Fiji... I had to cancel my travel plans because of the lockdown. So I am staying at home for who knows how long. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteYes, we are thankful for having a clear thoughts and just packed our bags immediately, and booked our flights. Now we are stay home for the next 6-months (as per Victoria State guidelines). Stay Safe!
Deleteoh man. i would be so disappointed if my trip had to get shortened due to the pandemic at least you are SAFE! stay well and i hope you get a chance to go back to Fiji for a more extended visit.
ReplyDeleteYeah we will going back when everything's back to normal. Fiji is a paradise!
DeleteYou're so lucky that you were able to leave it's so hard to be stuck in Fiji. I am so sad that our trips was postponed but atleast we are all safe
ReplyDeleteA week after we leave Fiji, they decided to closed their borders as well to the rest of the world, for safety.
DeleteCovid19 has dented many travel plans and ongoing tours. Just a week before the lockdown, I had a medical trip planned and now I am stuck.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing okay wherever you are. Stay Safe.
DeleteI would be upset. However, looking at the bright side of it, at least you guys are safe. Just think of it as a blessing. There will be many, many more days to resume travels again once the world has healed.
ReplyDeleteI agree. And when this is over, we would do our best to pay back those blessings.
DeleteOh no! Yeah I was supposed to go to Europe to visit my family just as it was getting worse in Italy. Crazy times
ReplyDeleteHope you are okay and safe wherever you are.
DeleteSocial Distancing is really important and happy to know that many places were closed down due to the outbreak. Hopefully everyone is safe and the number won't go up anymore. - Knycx Journeying
ReplyDeleteIt is the only thing that we can do now until the vaccines are available. Stay safe!
DeleteSigh, how disappointing but at least you got a full 24 hours to see a little bit of Fiji. But at the end of the day it's important to stay safe and glad that you're home and all is well. I had a trip planned for India in September which I had to cancel.
ReplyDeleteWe all pray that this will be over soon.
DeleteAmazing Fiji! Good for you, you've been able to go there even in a short period of time. Me, it's ok just the graduation and bday celeb of my daughter were delayed
ReplyDeleteawww, we will all celebrate for the new world after this pandemic!
DeleteIt is really not good when u stuck during holiday. Even I was about to move abroad, it got cancelled.
ReplyDeletelet's treat this change as a positive one, we can re-evaluate our plans and enjoy what we have.
DeleteGood on you for making the most of the 24 hours you had! Fiji looks so beautiful in your video - I've added the place to my bucket list now!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks you Smita!
DeleteI am happy that you were still able to enjoy your 24-hr stay on that place. After all, it's better that the trip be cancelled than sorry. Hopefully, this will be over soon so we can travel again... :)
ReplyDeleteThat's true, I'm just thankful I reached Fiji even in a short time.
DeleteGreat to know that you still could enjoy your time in Fiji even though the trip was cut short. We were traveling in Vietnam but due to Covid-19, we had to return home early. Hope this will be over soon and we can be back to normal.
ReplyDeleteI agree, and we are also planning to visit Vietnam soon!
DeleteLoved going through your 24 hour experience. Short and sweet. We were planning to travel in May June and felt so sad when I got down to cancel all our hotel bookings yesterday.Hope this pandemic gets over soon so that we are once again free to travel. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I anticipate is the high costs of travel when this pandemic is gone.
DeleteAh! Too bad. This sucks when your vacation is cut.. Our annual vacation was also cancelled, but in our case, our onward journey ticket itself was cancelled, so yeah, we couldn't go to visit out families. Anyways, lets hope for the best!
ReplyDeleteYes, soon we will all enjoy travel again!
DeleteWe certainly had our travel plans interrupted by COVID-19. And had to do a 14 day mandatory self isolation when we got home. If I was in Fiji, I sure would not have wanted to leave early. It was good that you managed to enjoy the time you did have. And that you managed to get home from there before the world shut down.
ReplyDeleteI wish we can stay at Fiji, however my Dada works as self-employed and many customers rely on him. Definitely Fiji is a paradise!
DeleteI am happy to hear that despite of the situation you still had a good time. Love your attitude. No matter if our plans or vacations are ruined, what's important is that we are all safe. You can always visit Fiji next time. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Clarice!
DeleteIt is so good you didn't stuck on Fiji. The virus also interrupted our journey of life. After eight months of traveling through America, we had to return to the country. But I hope that someday we will be able to continue the journey. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteYes, soon we will enjoy the world again. For now let's all be safe and enjoy at home.
DeleteI guess that we all have to adapt with our travel life to new conditions of lifestyle. I have never been to Fiji but whatever trip you take, I know how much work you do for planning and hope that everything will be well. I had to cancel a trip last fall and it was terrible, I can relate to your experiences pretty much.
ReplyDeleteYeah, however we see it as a blessings too. Soon we will all enjoy travel again, but this time we will more cautious.
