With the enhanced community quarantine currently in effect in the whole of Luzon and in other provinces in Visayas and Mindanao, many Filipinos have been looking for ways to send money to family, friends, or organizations they want to support within and outside Metro Manila.
Fortunately, PayMaya allows its users to send money directly to a Smart Padala center anywhere in the country. And with more than 30,000 Smart Padala touchpoints nationwide, it’s easy to locate one that’s near your street or barangay so you can continue to receive remittances from friends or family--even without having to step out of the house to be able to send money, which can help you and your family practice strict social distancing during the quarantine.
Employers who want to support the families of their nannies in the province or those who want to mobilize resources in their hometown can quickly use the Send Money feature of PayMaya to transfer funds to virtually anyone in the country.
In addition, even you are currently out of the country (yes, outside the Philippines) you can use PayMaya to send money remittances to your families in the Philippines.
Now that I'm here in Australia, I can send mobilize sending financial help to my family living in Manila and the province.
Here’s how:
* Check if the Smart Padala center near you is open and ask for their 16-digit account number.
* Log in to your PayMaya account and click Send Money.
* Enter the account number in the field provided, followed by the amount you wish to send to your recipient, then click “Continue”
* Review and verify the transaction details, then click “Send”
To claim the money transfer, the recipient must proceed to the Smart Padala center you sent the funds to and present (1) valid ID, his/her mobile phone number, as well as the reference number of the transaction as proof.
To be able to send money to another PayMaya user or to a Smart Padala center, you must have an upgraded PayMaya account. This will also raise your monthly transaction limit to P100,000, from just P50,000 for non-upgraded accounts.
To upgrade your account, simply click the “Upgrade My Account” button in the menu, fill in the required details, and upload any of the following IDs for fast and seamless review and approval of your application: Driver’s License, Passport, UMID, Postal ID, SSS ID, or PRC license.
Make sure that you have also entered the same full name and birthdate details as reflected in the ID that you uploaded and that the photo of the ID is clear and unobstructed.
Meanwhile, for those who want to send money to other banks, they can do so by clicking the "Bank Transfer" button in the PayMaya app. The transfer fees for this service have been waived until further notice.
How much is the service charge?
Adding funds from your credit card going to Paymaya is FREE OF CHARGE. The processing time is so quick only takes less than a minute!
In sending money, PayMaya to Smart Padala charges only a fee of Php15.00 for every Php1,000 you send.

I've had my Paymaya card and account for a few months na, now ko lang actually na-utilize eh. This is so helpful, nakaka pay ako ng bills!
ReplyDeleteVery helpful! I prefer this and closed my GCASH..
Deletei have a question. kaka download ko lang din kasi ng paymaya and merong nag padala sakin dun. can i transfer it to bpi or gcash?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you can transfer to GCASH.. however if you have BPI account - yes you can!
DeleteNever pa ako nakagamit ng Paymaya! This tutorial is so helpful, glad marami na mga remittance company nag oofer, marami tayo choices in sending money to our love ones!
ReplyDeleteTry it Ann! In my experience, it is better than GCASH. GCASH charges me Php50.00 per month for no activity.
DeleteWe are so lucky na we live in a world of technology and convenience and ito talaga ang time na kailangan natin ang mga technologies like this. hala! may bawas na Php 50 for GCASH pag walang activity?
I already deactivate it..
DeleteI heard a lot of good things about Paymaya and I really want to use it but they won't let my account be verified. Gusto ko pa naman nung mga cashbacks.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the reason why ayaw ma-verify? Did you upload your valid gov't ID? I used my passport.
DeleteI've been hearing paymaya but I don't have any idea what is it all about and now I know. It's something you can use for sending money and paying bills. Something convenient ha.
ReplyDeleteyes, it is convenient. And weekly they give rebates when you pay bills, every Friday ata.
DeleteTechnology really made the connectivity and convenience on sending money. Gone are days that Paymaya account holders would waste time and effort on long queues. What is great is the Free-of-charge transfers from credit card. Additionaly, the process is streamlined by Paymaya and easily understood.
ReplyDeleteyou are right - everyone can understand how it works even our simple mamamayan.
Deletethis is very convenient based on your write-up. it's my first time to hear about this. I'm impressed that you can even connect it to your credit card.
ReplyDeleteyeah, perfect nowadays to transact cashless na.
DeletePayMaya is indeed very helpful! I mostly use it to load my phone, no need to go to the suking tindahan. Hahaha! I also realized that it offers lot of rebates. I hope more people will learn how to use it especially now that we are in community quarantine.
ReplyDeleteThat's true! Gamit na gamit siya. They should enhance more promotion to rural areas.
Super convenient pa kasi we can pay our bills kahit nasa bahay lang.
ReplyDeleteExactly! Okay rin yung rebates nila, and transactions are fast.
DeleteI'm a PayMaya user myself, but I'm having so much trouble upgrading my account. They won't accept my passport kaya ayun medyo hassle pa din magload ng money. Huhu.
ReplyDeleteaww really?
DeleteThis post really helps lalo na if we have families na nangangailangan talaga ng pera lalo na ngayon that we are under ECQ. Hopefully, matapos na ang pandemic na ito. ☺️
ReplyDeleteThat's true. And even this pandemic is over, using cashless as payment is the best way.
I already forgot my password. I will recover it soon so I can use it in my small business
ReplyDeleteThat's cool! I think more apps like this will exists very soon.
DeleteSuper love ko ang Paymaya, convenient sya. I dont have to maintain a credit card na pwede kong ma misuse hahaha! tapos may rebates pa sila, like one time umabot ng 1K un cashback ko from all my purchases and bills payment! kaya super recommended ko Paymaya sa mga friends ko
ReplyDeleteThe cashback is a huge deal! Sana they reach more campaigns to provincial areas Lalo na at wala silang cards.
