Review: Loreal Paris x Love Marie Collaboration

Review: Loreal Paris x Love Marie Collaboration
Art and beauty combined.

It’s been a year since the launch of Loreal Paris recent celebrity collaboration with Filipino artists Love Marie (aka Heart Evangelista) and still, I couldn’t help admiring these lipstick tubes since I’d pre-ordered them.

If someone collects shoes and paintings, my money could only reach on collecting designer lipstick…for now.

Loreal Paris has been my go-to lipstick for as long as I could remember, and always brings me to wonderful memories, just a version of my fairytale (sans stepmothers). The quality of their lipsticks is so good and practical.

No wonder that I felt that spellbinding effect when they launched their collaboration with Love Marie. I’ve been following her works (and fashion taste) for years and attended her several exhibitions here and here and each moment never disappoints. The only thing that disappoints me is not affording her paintings (yet) but at least I have her lipsticks right next to my vanity table.

It was lovely to learn that Love Marie helps in curating the perfect shades of these lipstick based on her taste and inspiration for the power of women. The cover of Each tube is based on one of her paintings. It is feminine, luxurious, and exquisite. The luxurious matte shades suit every woman from day to night and dawn; of women of any race, whatever your skin tone is.

Review: Loreal Paris x Love Marie Collaboration
Here I am wearing the Loreal Paris Color Riche Matte in 233 – Rouge-a-Porter for my lips and cheeks.

Another fact I love about this lipstick is I can practically use them not only to have that pouty lips, but also as a cheek blush, and sometimes as an eyelid color for a dewy spring look. It is easy to blend, not sticky. I could get carry this tube in my travel pouch – less baggage for me.

Talk about practical beauty in-a-stick!

Review: Loreal Paris x Love Marie Collaboration

I brought them all here in Australia coz I knew these lipsticks will be my beauty companion for the rest of this year, in all my Aussie trips!

Question: Should I wear lipstick even I'm just at home?

YES!

Time like this when we are surrounded by uncertainty, we need to wear something that will uplift our spirit, and that's another purpose of wearing your favorite lipstick. Just like Madam C.J. Walker said, while selling her beauty product "...if I can make one beautiful, then we can all be beautiful!"

Don't make this COVID-19 beat your glow and sass.

  20. Oh my gosh! I love Heart! I follow her on YT and IG as well. Looking at her feed always makes me smile. I haven't followed consistently though and I didn't know that she had a collab with L'Oreal, or maybe I forgot? LOL I remember the one with Happy Skin but this collection looks better as her paintings are featured on the lipsticks themselves. :) I need to order at least one shade! :)
