How I upcycle and style my stepson’s old uniform

How I upcycle and style my stepson’s old uniform
After my husband’s son decided to not complete his remaining high school years, he gave me his old school uniforms and decide what will I do with them.

There is no way that I will just throw them all in the bin unless they are all ripped and stained, but still will try my best to save them for the sake of my principle of sustainability.

Just like this pair of gray trousers that are made of good quality wool.

With a little tweak and adjustments, I decided to upcycle it into something wearable for my taste.
I also accessories the trousers with these Woolworth Disney Fix-ems I’ve been collecting since July 2022, and I couldn’t help to feel thrilled and proud of my work.

Back in our shed, I also took his old ball and work my ways to turn it into an eccentric handbag.

Sorry but not sorry.

However, he was impressed with the result as well. At least I made something artful and useful for me and did not easily waste anything.

I also used a couple of Woolworths limited edition ooshies and turn them into a quirky pair of earrings. The light blue jumper is from FemmeLuxe, and the shoes I got from PUMA.

What do you think of this look?

I still have boxes of old-school uniforms waiting to be upcycled! For now, you can check my previous school uniform upcycling here, and here.

  5. Hihi...you never cease to amaze me, Blair! You have a sharp eye for putting together bits of clothing....for example, I never expected the "Girl Squad" patch to be where it is, on your leg.

  12. That is so awesome! I wonder if there's a way to cut a slit in the top of the basketball and turn it into a purse.

    1. There is a way, but you need a proper tool for it. I use a sharp knife to poke the hole and slice the ball.
